Positives

• He a very well rounded, reliable defensively and can carry the ball forward well from deep

• Good strength and is very strong in a tackle

• 6’4” with a High and Average body type is well suited for a CDM

• Part of the ‘Gullit Gang’ as he has all base card attributes above 80

• Good League/Club and Nation Links

Negatives

• 3* Weak Foot and 3* Skill Moves

• Medium/Medium work rates isn’t the best, but can be negated with instructions

• No Alternative Positions, meaning you have to use a formation with a CM to play him

• No Traits

PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN? (SERIE A CM/CDMs)

World Cup PTG Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – 83K

• Milinkovic-Savic offers more physicality but less pace, and also has the 4* Skill Moves and 5* Weak Foot.

• Milinkovic-Savic would be my choice for a CM as he has better shooting and passing, but as a solo CDM I would probably choose Rabiot as he’s a bit quicker.

Road to the World Cup Georginio Wijnaldum – 81K

• Wijnaldum is a better card in pretty much all areas accept pace, he also has a 4* Weak Foot.

• Wijnaldum would by my choice for a CM as he has better attacking attributes, but as solo CDM I would probably choose Rabiot as he’s a bit quicker.

World Cup PTG Marcelo Brozovic – 82K

• Brozovic is technically better defensively due to his defensive attributes but Rabiot has better size and physicality so it’s pretty close between the two.

• You could choose either for CDM or CM as they’re quite similar, it depends on your preference of pace or defending attributes.

Road to the Knockout Zambo Anguissa – 47K

• Zambo is the better choice defensively as he has better pace, defending and physical attributes.

• Zambo is the easy choice as a CDM, but as a CM you could play Rabiot as he has better offensive attributes.

RATINGS

VERDICT

Rabiot is a difficult one for me as he is not the best CDM in Serie A nor is he the best CM in Serie A and he is more expensive than most. I gave him an 8/10 based on in game performances and attributes.

This card performs well in game, when using him I thought he was good in game and didn’t really do too much wrong but since taking a look at all the other options out there I just don’t know if he’s worth the coins.

The only way I would get this card is if you can’t link any of the players I have compared him to, so this might upset a few people but for me he is a Swerve.
