Ultimate Dynasties Promo Cards Tierlist
Another brand-new promo this week in FC24 as Ultimate Dynasties arrives. This promo celebrates players who have family in football so there’s lots of new cards to enjoy. Ultimate Dynasties also includes upgraded versions of icons. From siblings to father and son duos, there’s plenty to dive into this week in Ultimate Team.
God Tier:
Zinedine Zidane (95)
Comfortably one of the best cards in the game. Zidane is sure to cost millions of coins and it’s understandable why. He’s got brilliant shooting, exceptional passing and just great all-round stats. If you are lucky enough to pack him, or have the funds to afford him, then you’ll have yourself a midfielder until the end of the game.
Erling Haaland (94)
Like his RTTK card, Haaland has been upgraded to 4* skills. He’s got to be the most clinical striker is the game due to his 99 positioning and finishing and not forgetting to mention his 97 shot power. He’s also 6’5” with the Power Header and Aerial+ PlayStyles, so good luck defending corners! With an engine chemistry style, Haaland is unreal.
Paolo Maldini (93)
Easily the best centre-back in the game by a country mile. Maldini has near perfect defensive stats and the Intercept+ PlayStyle so good luck trying to get past him! He’s also extremely quick with 87 pace. You won’t find a better centre-back for a long time.
Rivaldo (91)
This is a massive upgrade for Rivaldo especially considering he’s gone from a 2* weak foot to 4*. He’s got brilliant attacking stats including 93 shot power, 93 long shots and 93 ball control. Rivaldo also has alternative positions of LM, CAM and CF so he’ll be deadly in multiple areas of the pitch.
Theo Hernandez (88)
Theo Hernandez is easily one of the best left-backs around, but it comes at a price as he’s currently over 1,000,000 coins. With a sentinel chemistry style, he’s an absolute beast. Hernandez has got 95 pace so there’s not many quicker in the game than him!
Ferland Mendy (87)
The second French left-back in one promo but what a hell of a card Mendy is. Mendy is the most popular left-back in the game and has been for years now, so it’s no surprise as to how expensive he is. Even though his stats don’t look amazing, in-game it feels like his stats are boosted. I’m sure a lot of pro players will be using him.
Very good:
Paolo Maldini (90)
Evidently, he isn’t as good as his 93 version, but this is still an incredible centre-back and will still be worth a ton of coins. Maldini is very quick and has the Slide Tackle PlayStyle+. I’m sure this card will be expensive for a long time and you can see why.
Reece James (88)
This promo has certainty delivered its fair share of full-backs. Reece James receives his first special card of the year and it’s a brilliant one as he’s had a massive +10 pace. He’s expensive due to the fact he’s easily the best option as a Premier League right-back. An anchor on this card and he’s fantastic.
Decent:
Lena Oberdorf (90)
Defensively, this card is great. Oberdorf has 91 stand tackle, 89 defensive awareness and 92 strength. She also has the Intercept PlayStyle+ meaning she’ll be stable option at the root of your midfield. However, she has a very bad pace split as she has 92 acceleration but only 63 sprint speed.
Gheorghe Hagi (90)
A decent upgrade for Hagi here from his base icon card. He’s gained plus twos and threes on all his face card stats. He is 4* 4* with very good stats for a CAM which include 93 shot power, 92 long shots and 92 ball control. He also has alternative positions of CM and LM but I would recommend only using him as a CAM as he has bad defensive stats and isn’t that quick.
Patrick Kluivert (89)
A massive pace boost has made Kluivert very usuable. He’s gained a +7 in pace and has the very good Power Header PlayStyle+ so he’s a viable option up top. I would be putting an engine chem style on him though, as he only has 75 agility and 76 balance so he will need a boost.
Juan Sebastian Veron (89)
Another addition to Gullit Gang as Veron has earned himself a nice boost. He’s a solid option as a centre-mid, but he isn’t exactly world beating. His stats are nicely well-rounded, but no key stats are mind-blowing. He’ll do a job but won’t be the best player in your squad.
Florian Wirtz (89)
Wirtz receives a honourable boost from his player of the month and is a good option as a CAM. He is 4* 4* with High/Medium work rates. The German’s dribbling stats are very nice but I’d recommend putting a hunter chem style on him to boost his slightly weaker pace and shooting stats.
Rivaldo (89)
For me, this is a bit of a pointless card considering his base item and his other Ultimate Dynasties card is higher rated, but it still isn’t a bad card by any stretch of imagination. His pace dribbling stats are very appealing, but that 2* weak foot is off-putting.
Lauren James (88)
A very decent option who can play multiple postions as James has alternative positions of RM, CAM and ST. She also has 5* skills and a 4* weak foot with High/Low work rates. The only main downsides to this card would be that she doesn’t have great finishing and has only 66 agility.
Rasmus Hojlund (87)
Hojlund has had a massive upgrade from is base card and with the addition of Finesse+, he becomes a brilliant option at striker. He is 6’3” with 95 jumping and 96 heading accuracy, so he’ll be a menace at corners and getting on the end of crosses. He does have low stamina and low agility and balance, but if you don’t mind a taller striker he’ll be excellent.
Leroy Sane (87)
I was a big fan of Sane at the start of the game, so I’m sure this card will be very good. He’s also had a weak foot upgrade upto 3* from 2 which makes the card a lot more appealing. Yes this card will need the right chem style to boost Sane’s shooting, but he’s a very good option on the right.
Khephren Thuram (87)
Another member of Gullit Gang, Thuram is a solid CM card. He has 4*skills and High/High work rates and his in-game stats are very well-rounded with Thuram having good stats all-round. He’s not amazing but I reckon he’d be a decent addition to your team.
Jurrien Timber (86)
A really nice card for Timber and a nice option for a Premier League centre-back. He’s got great dribbling stats for a defender and has very beneficial PlayStyles as he has Jockey, Intercept and Slide Tackle+. Unfortunately, he is pricey but I reckon he’ll be worth the money.
Meh:
Gheorghe Hagi (89)
Again, like a lot of these icon cards with a lower rated Ultimate Dynasties, this card isn’t great. There’s not really an in-game stat that jumps out to me and with the better version of this card being quite cheap, I would recommend saving up for his 90 rated card rather than using this one.
Patrick Kluivert (88)
Similarly, to Hagi, this is another card that not many people would crave if it didn’t exist. His shooting is good but when his better card is available at a relatively cheap price, you might as well not bother.
Henrik Larsson (88)
Larsson receives a good boost from his base card, but he still isn’t great. He stats are a bit all over the place as he has 93 finishing which is excellent, but only 82 shot power. He also has 3* skills so it might be best to look elsewhere for a goalscorer.
Marcus Thuram (87)
He isn’t an awful card and will do a job at striker, he just lacks some stats in key areas. Some positives to this card include 4* skills and weak foot, High/Low work rates and 94 strength. However, considering he is 6’4” and has only 64 balance so he’s going to be so heavy to turn with.
Nico Schlotterbeck (87)
Schlotterbeck isn’t bad and is quite quick with solid defensive and physical stats. I just feel that we’ve seen so many defenders, especially promo cards, with similar stats. Considering that Radioactive Eric Bailly was free and was easier to link, I reckon you should save some money and spend it somewhere else.
Inaki Williams (86)
He’s a very pacey winger and the weak foot upgrade to 3* is nice, but he’s not amazing. He’s got 66 balance and low shooting stats in some areas. As a super sub, he’ll be a threat but I still can’t see many people using him.
Nico Williams (86)
Nico is pretty similar to his brother in that he is a pacey La Liga winger. However, the difference is that he has an appealing 4* skills and a 5* weak foot. His stats in-game though lack in his shooting and dribbling stats such as reactions and composure. I’m sure with a good chem style though he’ll be a decent winger.
Quinten Timber (85)
Timber isn’t a brilliant card overall but is dribbling stats are great. He lacks in shooting and his pace split is awkward with 91 acceleration and 78 sprint speed. He doesn’t have a PlayStyle+ either.
Fodder:
Edouard Mendy (87)
Keeper promo cards are never expensive, so it’s no shock that he’s sat at fodder price. Unless you’ve got a Saudi league team, he’s pretty tough to link. Mendy is very much just your average goalie card.
Luca Zidane (87)
Another goalkeeper card which is clearly just a filler for the promo. Luckily, because he is French he’s not too bad for chemistry, but he is from the Spanish second division. I’m sure he will sit at fodder price for 87s.
Henrik Larsson (87)
Another pretty pointless card for me. Larsson is currently min price and it’s completely understandable why. Admittedly, his pace and shooting is decent, but his stats aren’t that impressive in other areas. He’s also only got 3* skills so I’m going to give this card a miss.
Juan Sebastian Veron (87)
Veron is min price and it’s no revelation. His 89 version is already so cheap so it buying this card feels like a waste. I can’t see his price going up either. He’s an okay centre-mid, but there is so much better available.
Juliane Wirtz (86)
A very average card for Juliane Wirtz. Her in-game stats are well-rounded at all. To be fair to Wirtz, she does have 96 stand tackle and 94 interceptions which is exceptional, but there’s so many other areas where stats are weak, so I reckon she won’t feel great in-game. She also doesn’t have a PlayStyle+
Keven Schlotterbeck (86)
There’s is a million other CB’s with similar or better stats hence why Schlotterbeck has made his way into the fodder tier. His brother has a better card and isn’t that expensive so you might as well go for him.
Ianis Hagi (85)
This card could be one of the worst of the promo. Hagi’s only saving grace is that he has 4* skills and a 5* weak foot because everything else about this card is distinctly average.
Braut-Brunnes (85)
To be honest, I think Braut-Brunnes has only got an Ultimate Dynasties card so Haaland would get one. Unlike Haaland though, Braut-Brunnes does have a 4* weak foot, but there isn’t anything else particularly good about this card.
Sidi Sane (85)
Sidi Sane is another card that is way below the power curve. He isn’t the quickest and his in-game stats are immensely unbalanced. I’d stay well clear of this card.
Oscar Hojlund (85)
On face value, Oscar Hojlund looks like a decent card. He’s quick with 99 agility and decent physical stats, but the 2* skills instantly kills this card. He’s also extremely difficult to link due to his nationality and league.
Jordan Larsson (85)
Although he does link to Oscar Hojlund, again there isn’t much choice for chemistry. Apart from his high agility and balance, Larsson isn’t an impressive card. There’s plenty other wingers in the game that are better.
Deian Veron (85)
Veron does have the Anticipate+ PlayStyle which is very meta this year, but his card is undoubtable average. He is 3* 3* as well which doesn’t help his case. If you’re going to get a Veron card, this isn’t the one.
Tim Oberdorf (85)
Yet another Ultimate Dynasties card that is min price. Oberdorf is very tough to link as he is from the German second division. His stats aren’t outstanding either so just all-round not a great card for this stage of the game.
Rivaldinho (85)
Finally, another card in contention for the worst of the promo. Some of the negatives to this card include 3* skills, 78 positioning and 78 agility. Rivaldinho also has no PlayStyle+ so there’s probably 100 better strikers in the game right now.
