Positives and Negatives

Positives

  • Incredible Finishing – Dalglish has great finishing, whether it be inside the box or outside the box and with either foot, his shots always seem to find the back of the net.

  • 5* Weak Foot – Having a 5* weak foot as a striker is huge benefit as it means you can shoot with confidence on either foot and not have to worry about moving the ball to his strong foot.

  • Finesse Shot PlayStyle+ – This PlayStyle+ is very meta right now, being able to hit finesse shots with both feet from anywhere makes this card a threat all the time.

  • Great Pace – He has great pace that allows him to get in behind defences, I would recommend any chemistry style that gives that little bit of extra pace to max it out though.

  • Technical and Quick Step PlayStyles – These are two great PlayStyles to have has an attacker, even if they are not the PlayStyle+ version.

  • Live Card – Can get a +1 Overall – Being a live card this card has the potential to go to a 91 and get an added PlayStyle.

  • Icon Chemistry – Icon chemistry is so strong this year, having an icon in your team really helps with squad building.

Negatives

  • Very Expensive SBC – This is undoubtedly a very expensive SBC, and 2m is not easy to come by so it is understandable if this SBC feels out of reach for some people.

  • Quite Weak on the Ball – Due to his size (5′ 8″ / 173cm), low strength (68) and low aggression (71) he can feel quite weak on the ball at times.

  • Average Passing – His passing isn’t bad, but at times I found he misplaced some passes and through balls.

Verdict

Initially when I saw Dalglish’s price tag I was sure this was a Swerve, then I used him and can see why he is so expensive, however this man does not miss. Left foot/right foot they all fly in, his finishing is simply superb.

Another positive about this card is that he is quick and good on the ball too which is needed for a striker, he was able to outpace defenders and when he was in a tight spot manoeuvre himself out.

The one real negative about the card is that he is quite weak, so you just need to be aware of that when close to the opposing defenders.

This is undoubtedly a very expensive SBC, and 2m is not easy to come by so it is understandable if this SBC feels out of reach for some people.

For me, if you are looking for an elite ST who will last you for quite some time and you have the funds/fodder to complete him I would say it is worth it, yes he is very expensive but you have to pay a premium for elite players.

It is going to be a Spend!
