Shapeshifters Tier List

Shapeshifters Team 2 is here, and there are some incredible cards… and some interesting ones, we see a CB move to GK and a GK move to ST!

Here is my tier list of all players released for Shapeshifters Team 2, this tier list is based solely off of the information available, I have not tried any of these players in game.

GOD TIER

• Mane Garrincha (98) ST

  • This card will be absolutely incredible, he should feel very responsive on the ball as he has incredible dribbling attributes with a short and lean body type. Expect this card to perform exceptionally.

• Ousmane Dembele (97) CAM

  • Dembele cards always perform incredible, mainly down to his unique body type and his 5* skill moves and 5* weak foot, and I expect this card to be exactly the same. This card can play anywhere in the attacking third.

• Frenkie De Jong (96) CDM

  • Moving this card from a CM to a CDM is not particularly warranted for a Shapeshifter, however this card looks an incredible CDM or Box to Box CM, also De Jong cards historically have performed exceptionally in game so this will likely be the same. He has also been given a weak foot upgrade from 3* to 5* which is a huge upgrade.

• Samuel Eto’o (96) LW

  • Striker to LW/RW isn’t much of a Shapeshift, however for those who have used any of his previous cards this Fifa will know that he is quick, responsive and lethal and I am confident this card will be same. He is also now 5* skill moves and 5* weak foot which is a huge upgrade.

• Samuel Eto’o (96) RW

  • This is the same as the Samuel Eto’o (96) LW comment, however he has had foot change from right to left, although he is 5* weak foot so the difference won’t be noticeable.

TOP TIER

• Anthony Martial (97) CM

  • On face stats alone this card looks like he is going to be an incredible attacking CM, he has a very well rounded card and could prove to be a real force in the middle. He has received a huge work rate, skill move and weak foot upgrade also, there is a very high chance this becomes a God Tier card.

• Clarence Seedorf (95) CDM

  • This card sits in Top Tier, however there is a chance this card is considered God Tier, I say this because has the Stocky body type and incredible defensive and physical attributes that he might just be one of the more dominant CDMs in the game. He also received a weak foot upgrade so he is now 5* weak foot which is ideal for a CM/CDM.

• Emmanuel Petit (95) CB

  • Petit is one of those players who has always lacked a bit of pace which is why you don’t see him as much, his size and body type is suited to a CDM/CB role and with the upgrade to his pace and his incredible defending attributes I predict this card to be very good in game. He also received a weak foot upgrade, so he now 5* weak foot.

• Richarlison (94) RW

  • This card is 5* skill moves and 5* weak foot which is going to make him incredible in game, his previous cards this Fifa have been really good so I can only imagine how good this card will be.

MID TIER

• Emmanuel Petit (95) CAM

  • I put this version as Mid Tier because I don’t think his size and body type are suited for the more offensive roles, however I could be proven wrong but for now I see this card being dropped into a more defensive role, such a box to box CM or even moved to a CDM with a defensive chemistry style. Despite having a skill move upgrade to 5*, he only has a 3* weak foot which could restrict him.

• Wilfred Zaha (93) RB

  • This card looks like it will be one of the better attacking full backs in the game, with good dribbling and pace he could easily be played as a RM or even a winger if you are lacking some options, this looks a good card but nothing exceptional.

• Riquelme (92) LB

  • I was close to putting this into the Meh Tier, but on a second glance he looks like a good left back, again nothing exceptional but will do a good job. The one noticeable positive from this card is that he has been upgrade to 5* skill moves, however he does only have a 4* weak foot and all his positions are left sided based with his main foot being Right.

MEH TIER

• Manuel Neuer (94) ST

  • Many people may agree with me here, but I don’t see how this card is going to perform well in game, I could be wrong, however I expect there to be animation conflicts which just make him feel very average despite having good face card attributes, again I could easily be proven wrong. He does have 5* skill moves and 4* weak foot so there are plenty of positives to the card.

• Olivier Giroud (93) CB

  • Strikers to CBs seem to be popular choice for EA, we have had quite a few already and none of them really excite me, and this card is no different. I am sure he will perform pretty well in game but there are so many better options out there that don’t cost much at all.

• Leandro Cabrera (91) GK

  • This is the first of outfield player to goalkeeper this Fifa, and some may disagree but personally for me it doesn’t really excite me. I expect this card to be the cheapest of the whole team too. He is the only player in the team with Premium Chemistry.
