RTTK Bruno Guimaraes Player Review
POSITIVES & NEGATIVES
Positives
-
Bruno has a great range of passing, with 90 Short Pass and 89 Vision you can really feel confident in him making his pass.
-
He is good defensively, and combined with his good physical attributes he is very good in the tackle and often comes out with the ball in one on one situations.
-
He has High/High work rates which are ideal work rates for a box to box CM, and accompany that with his very well rounded card he makes for a great CM.
-
With an Anchor he can change his AcceleRATE to Controlled Lengthy.
-
He has 5 PlayStyles, these are, Incisive Pass, Long Ball Pass, Flair, Press Proven and Trivela.
-
Being from the Premier League and Brazil he has good league and nation links.
-
This is also a live card and could possibly get two more +1 upgrades.
Negatives
-
Bruno only has 3* weak foot, for me centre midfielders ideally should have 4* weak foot and above, however during gameplay I didn’t notice this much at all.
-
He also only has 3* skill moves, this is more of a nice to have than a necessity, again I do prefer my centre midfielders to have 4* skill moves.
-
Sadly this card does not have a PlayStyle+ which really hurts the card, and I don’t believe there is plan to incorporate this into either of the two upgrades he can get.
-
This SBC is very expensive, I would even say it is overpriced, especially for this time of the year.

VERDICT
Bruno performed exceptionally well for me. He is an extremely well-rounded central midfielder with excellent passing abilities and can be highly effective in the attacking phase.
The main highlight of this card is undoubtedly his passing. His impressive range of passing was clearly evident when I used him, and he proved to be very effective in pushing forward.
However, the drawbacks lie in the fact that he only has 3* skill moves and a 3* weak foot. These are two aspects I would have preferred to be at a minimum of 4*.
The SBC’s cost is approximately 225k, which, at this stage in the game, is quite steep. When you consider that Flashback De Bruyne was only 130K, it’s hard to justify this price tag. While I understand that this is a live card and it can potentially reach an 88 rating, given the fixtures that Newcastle have, this could prove to be a challenging task.
In my opinion, this card is not only expensive but also overpriced. It would need to be the 88 version to even come close to justifying its price. Therefore, despite performing well for me, it’s going to be a SWERVE.
