Player of the Month Prediction — September 2025 (Serie A)

Hello and welcome to Player of the Month Predictions for Serie A for October. Should be a good winner, not that expensive and overall exciting one.
October had loads of big games and some huge results and upsets. Here are seven players who made the strongest case for Player of the Month.
Matías Soulé (Roma)
Soulé was Roma’s creative heartbeat in October. On 5 October he scored a terrific equaliser and then provided the corner that led to Bryan Cristante’s winner in a 2–1 victory at Fiorentina—goal + assist in one match. Apart from that he had good showing vs Inter, despite defeat and had solid game vs Sassuolo in 1-0 win. Sadly, didn’t score or assist bar game vs Fiorentina, but still should be nominated. Potentially nice POTM, close to his Cornerstones card.
Ange-Yoan Bonny (Inter)
Bonny produced the headline moment on 18 October, striking early to earn Inter a 1–0 win at the Stadio Olimpico and move his side level on points at the top of Serie A. Apart from match winning goal vs Roma, he also scored and assisted 3 times in a game vs Cremonese. Should be POTM nomination and probably POTM winner with 2 goals and 3 assists in this month. Very nice card and overall should be a banger.
Nicolò Cambiaghi (Bologna)
Cambiaghi was influential in Bologna’s October fixtures, opening the scoring in the 5 October 4–0 win over Pisa with a well-timed finish and featuring again in Bologna’s later draw with Fiorentina. Cambiaghi already got an IF and his potential POTM would be 84\85 card. Should be nominated at least. If not him – then Bologna’s GOAT – Orsolini. Also had a good month with 2 goals.
Rafael Leão (AC Milan)
Leão continued to carry Milan’s attack through October. He opened the scoring early in the 24 October home game vs Pisa and later converted an 86th-minute penalty in a separate Milan fixture to secure points. Apart from that he also scored a goal in 2-2 draw vs Pisa and should be nominated. If he wins – he’d be similar to his scream card and if Leao is nominated – he will get loads of votes, as people love Leao.
Giovanni Simeone (Torino)
Simeone proved decisive in Torino’s 18 October win over Napoli, heading home the only goal of the game to secure a shock 1–0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. He also scored in 3-3 draw vs Lazio. Torino turned their fortune around this month with 2 goals and a draw in 3 games and should get nominee in POTM. Simeone would be fine, but boring card, doubt that he wins.
Mario Gila (Lazio)
Gila’s October was defined by defensive solidity in a tough run of fixtures. In the 0–0 draw at Atalanta (19 October) his blocking, aerial clearances and positioning were repeatedly mentioned in player ratings as crucial to earning a point on the road. He also managed to have fantastic game vs Juve and he already got recognized with an IF, so his potential POTM would be amazing 86 rated card and many of us would complete him.
Marc-Oliver Kempf (Como)
Kempf provided one of October’s flashpoints when he opened the scoring for Como with a close-range volley in the shock 2–0 home win over Juventus on 19 October — a goal that set up a famous victory. That contribution, plus a series of strong defensive displays all month, marked him as a defender who can deliver both at the back and on attacking set-pieces. Como’s October results owed a lot to his leadership at the back. He also managed Clean Sheet vs Parma and should be recognized this month as POTM Nominee
My POTM (October 2025) pick — Ange-Yann Bonny.
Bonny had fantastic 1st half of the month with 2 goals and 3 assists and it should bring him as POTM. Leao should be close, but overall I’m not against one of CBs actually winning it. Would be a nice change and both cards would be good. But yeah, should be Bonny.
