• Positives

  • Feels very quick in game and you can feel his high acceleration

  • Very responsive dribbling, and has exceptional R1/RB dribbling

  • Good alternate positions, he can play wide or central

  • Outside Foot Shot Trait, which gives him incredible Trivela shots

  • 4* Skills & 4* Weak Foot

• Negatives

  • Sometimes he can feel a little weak on the ball

  • Poor aerial ability, but realistically you don’t buy him for that

POSITION PLAYED

Chiesa played as a RAM in the 4-2-2-2, with the instructions to Come Back on Defence and Get into the Box for Crosses.

When I moved into a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) he played as a CAM or ST, depending on who was playing, and he performed equally well in those positions.

CHEMISTRY STYLE

• Chemistry Style Used

  • Finisher – I applied a Finisher chemistry style to Chiesa to boost his Dribbling and Shooting as he already has good pace, and this allowed me to move him into the ST position if needed.

• Recommended Chemistry Style

  • Finisher – This is the best chemistry style for all of the reason I mentioned above.

HOW DID HE PERFORM?

• Chiesa performed exceptionally in all positions I played him in, his main position as a RAM he scored and assisted a lot of goals and when I moved him into more central positions he continued to contribute goals and assists.

• Chiesa offers that versatility in attack which is very nice as he can play most attacking positions to a high level.

PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN? (SERIE A RW)

• Out of Position Theo Hernandez – Theo has a more rounded card and offers more defensively, however I would say Chiesa is a better Winger/CAM and Chiesa has a better weak foot

• Ones to Watch Di Maria – Di Maria has a bit better passing, but overall I would say Chiesa is a better card due to his attributes and weak foot

• Road to the Knockout Jonathan Ikone – Ikone has a bit better pace and dribbling so this is a difficult choice, but I would choose Chiesa because of his shooting and weak foot

• Inform Hirving Lozano – Lozano is essentially a budget version of Chiesa, for me Chiesa is a much better card overall

RATINGS

VERDICT

Overall Chiesa is a great card and was a lot of fun to use, his goal and assist contributions during his 10 games showed that he gets involved in a lot of the attacking plays and is actually very clinical in front of goal.

Having the ability to start Chiesa out wide and central allows for more flexibility with squad building for chemistry purposes.

The main strengths of Chiesa is his pace, dribbling and shooting so when you have the ball at this feet he can be very dangerous, accompany that with his 4* skills, 4* weak foot and the Outside Foot Shot trait you have a lot of ways you can attack with him.

His biggest weakness is his strength, he isn’t particularly strong on the ball, however I wouldn’t say he was weak either.

The cost of the SBC is quite high, but for me I don’t think it is overpriced as at times you have to pay higher price for the more premium players and for me, Chiesa fits into that category.

He is clinical, a lot of fun to use, very versatile and a fair price so it’s definitely a Spend.
