OOP Fati - Spend or Swerve
POSITIVES & NEGATIVES
-
Positives
-
He is very agile, and has really responsive dribbling
-
Great acceleration, very quick off the mark and often won his 1v1 races
-
Good League and Nation links, makes getting him on 3 chemistry points easy
-
Outside Foot Shot Trait, great for the current Trivela shot meta
-
4* Skills & 4* Weak Foot
-
-
Negatives
-
Noticeably very weak on the ball, he often lost any form of shoulder to shoulder
-
Explosive AcceleRATE is not good for New Gen (PS5/Xbox X/S) versions of the game
-
The price point of the SBC is extremely high
-
TEAM USED
-
Before Kick Off – 4-4-1-1 (2)
-
In Game – 4-2-2-2
POSITION PLAYED
For most of the games I played Fati as a Right Striker in the 4-2-2-2, with the instructions to Stay Central and Get in Behind
I did experiment and play Fati as a RAM in the 4-2-2-2, with the instructions to Come Back on Defence and Get into the Box for Crosses.
He performed very well in both positions, however I would be more inclined to play him as a RAM due to him being quite weak on the ball.
CHEMISTRY STYLE
-
Chemistry Style Used
-
Finisher – I applied a Finisher chemistry style to Fati to boost his Dribbling and Shooting as he already has good pace, and this allowed me to play him in the ST position.
-
-
Recommended Chemistry Style
-
ST – Finisher – I like Finisher for Fati if you play him as a ST to max out his Finishing as he already has good pace
-
RAM – Hawk – This will give Fati the extra pace boost and boost his long shots.
-
HOW DID HE PERFORM?
-
Fati performed well for me in all positions I played him in, his main position as a ST he scored lot of goals and when I moved him into the RAM position he still managed to contribute with goals and assists.
10 GAME RATINGS
PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN? (La Liga 4*4* Attackers)
-
Hero Diego Forlan – Forlan is a better ST/CF due to his much better Shooting and Physcial attributes. Fati has better Pace a Dribbling.
-
Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) Raphina – Raphina and Fati are both very similar cards, with the main difference being Raphina has better Physical and Fati has better shooting.
-
Moments Danjuma – Danjuma can be considered a cheap alternative to Fati, however Fati is definitely a better card in pretty much all areas.
-
Inform (IF) Angel Correa – Correa is a better card in pretty much all areas other than Pace.
RATINGS
VERDICT
Overall Fati was a good card to use, he was a lot of fun on the ball and contributed a good amount of goals and assists in his 10 games played.
I played Fati as a Striker and a RAM throughout the 10 games, and I would definitely say he is more suited to a wide role due to his strength and out wide you can utilise his pace more.
As I stated the biggest weakness with this card is definitely his strength, but other than that he performed very well in game.
The issue with this card is that for the New Gen (PS5/Xbox X/S) versions of the game he will be far less effective as he has an Explosive AcceleRATE which is the least desirable of all the AcceleRATE types, and he cannot be changed to Controlled with a chemistry style so he is most definitely not worth it.
If you play the Old Gen (PS4/Xbox One) version of the game, you will have far more success with him if you decide to complete this SBC.
The price point of this SBC is far too high, he is twice the price of OOP Chiesa which was released last week and they have very similar cards, also he is much more than tradeable alternatives.
If you do this SBC, you will still enjoy the card, however he just didn’t offer me anything I couldn’t already get with cheaper alternatives so for me it has to be a Swerve!
