Maximizing FC 24 Trading Post-Black Friday

Trading for most players during the Black Friday weekend can be a daunting task due to the endless barrage of content. Within this article, I will go through a few key features of Black Friday and, more importantly, how this sets players up to capitalize on this once the promo ends.

Out-of-Pack Investing

One of the largest impacts on the price of players is promo packs. These are time and/or quantity-limited packs available within the store. These packs contain more players for fewer coins, meaning that more people will be opening packs, contributing to the influx of promo cards on the market. Due to this, promotional cards currently in packs drop in price as there is more supply. This makes it the perfect time to look into investing before they go back out of packs, and supply dries up. Players to consider include meta Best of Team of the Week (TOTW) cards, re-released TOTW cards, and various Thunderstruck players such as Bernardo Silva and Joelinton.

Evolutions Trading

Much like throughout the course of the year so far, evolutions can cause a huge spike in player values. To capitalize on this, pay attention to respectable sources across social media. As soon as an evolution is rumoured for a specific position, odds are most players within that position will experience a price surge. A prime example of this is the Pacey Winger II Evolution which has been covered in depth by the legend Kimpembro himself. Within this article Trossard is discussed as one of the meta options which is correct, and a lot of people seem to agree as we can see based on his price graph below. The key with evolutions is to invest early and sell during the hype, usually an hour or two before the evolution is released. For instance, Trossard rose from 700 coins to 3k and quickly dropped after the evolution was released.

Market Fluctuations

As mentioned in my first point, the combination of lightning rounds and daily SBCs leads to an increase in the number of players available within the market. Repeatable SBCs like the 83×10 also lead to the price of higher-rated cards decreasing. Once high-rated cards hit their low point, it’s recommended to stock up as their prices should rise once their availability decreases and there is more demand for them, such as new player SBCs. It’s best to spread your investments among ratings to cover all bases; typically, 86-88 ratings are the most common requirements for player SBCs. Meta cards that have significantly dropped will also work. For example, there was a drop in higher-rated cards such as Kimmich, making it a good investment opportunity.

FC Pro Live Investments

Cards that rely solely on real-life performances, such as FC Pro Live cards, are a gamble. If you have extensive knowledge of the FC Pros attached to these cards and believe they have what it takes to get the points needed for an upgrade, go for it. For group A and a few cards within group B, it may be too late for investments, as many cards have already risen. In this case, consider investing in cards from later groups, keeping in mind that these groups start later than their predecessors, resulting in a longer hold time.

There are many trading methods out there; however, in my opinion, now is the time to make the most out of the increased supply from the Black Friday event and focus on investments into out-of-pack players from the current promotion and high-rated cards.
