General Market Tips and Things to Know about for FIFA 22

For a lot of people FIFA 22 will be the first year of trying to get to know the market, some of you might already have some experience. However, I’m sure that at least some of the tips talked about in this post can help you out, regardless of your previous FIFA and trading experience.

Without wasting any more time, let’s get into it!

Efficiency

Being one of the most important aspects of trading, getting as much done on the market in the least amount of time is key. Trading shouldn’t be hard or take up too much time.

Find the trading method that suits you best. Be open-minded to a range of trading methods/styles, explore and find out what you’re best at. That will ensure you’re spending your time on the market in the most effective way (for you)

Don’t follow the pack

Something a lot of people do wrong is they follow what everyone else does. Take investing for example, what happens when everyone invests in the same cards? They get over-invested and lose value as people scramble to sell them at the same time. (In fact we’ll see this soon as people invest in the same potential *OOP cards. Investors buying other investors cards in a pyramid scheme)

Budget Management

Be aware of your budget and manage it correctly. For instance, don’t trade with cards worth 50.000 if you only have 100.000. Gradually build it up with lower value cards. The more cards you can buy at the same time, the more you’ll be able to sell and in turn make more profit.

If you’re going to be serious about trading, don’t put more than 30% of your liquid coins into a team. To make some serious damage with your coins, the more you have available to play around with, the better.

Risk Management

Regardless of what you’re trading with, don’t be afraid to take some occasional risks. It’s all for fun and knowledge gained + if the risk pays off, you’re sitting with some more coins made. On the other hand, don’t be scared to take losses. All of us do, even the most experienced traders. Some more often than others but we all make mistakes. All losses make you stronger as an independent trader. In the long run, for one bad trade, you’ll pull off ten excellent ones.

Make sure you’re always selling

No matter what, have listings active. Whether it’s Silver/Gold/TOTW/Icon cards, keep on listing and being active. Also sell cards overnight by listing for 6 or 12 hours before going to sleep.

Avoid player SBCs (if possible)

It’s understandable they’re fun or at the time they seem like a good card but soon after we realise the card is already outdated and we’re left asking why did I spend 200.000 on this. Fact is they’re untradable meaning you’ll never get the value back. Focus on buying cards from the market if you want to fill in a gap in your squad. You’ll be able to sell them and most of the time there will be 5 different options that are better than what the SBC is offering.

Trading throughout the week

Getting to know the daily movements of the market during the week is super useful once you see yourself trading with higher budget cards like TOTW, Icons etc.

Here’s a short walkthrough of the market during a normal FUT week. Mind you there can be a lot of things that can potentially impact this exact flow. I’ll get into it more after this.

*Also remember that there are a lot of changes to the rewards structure this year so this is only my educated guess of how it should look like!

Sunday/Monday

Weekend League Sell-Off and Squad Battles rewards

Some moves can be made to buy cheap deals on packed cards from the Squad Battles mass supply or bid/snipe big undercuts as people Tend to get rid of their teams.

Tuesday

Market is calm

Keep day trading. Use FUTWIZ to find flipping opportunities.

Wednesday

Division Rivals Rewards

*It is rumoured that Rivals rewards this year should be on Wednesday mornings instead of the usual Thursday’s.

First hours you should see mass supply coming on the market. Afterwards the market should start its uptrend into the weekend. As the player base receives a massive influx of coins and packs, combined with the Weekend League competition starting up again, that translates into a spike in demand.

Demand = Meta * Player prices rise.

Thursday

Market is on the rise

Cards should already be higher in price than what they were the day before. With WL starting the next day, this is one of the last points when people finish building their squads. Those deals you managed to pick up throughout the start of the week and didn’t yet manage to sell on their daily fluctuation, should be sitting in a healthy profit. Weekends are the best times for a trader. Easy and high price sales and a lot of deals going around as packs get opened from rewards. Amazing for day trading.

Friday/Saturday

Ongoing Weekend League competition

Prices are still high for most of Friday and Saturday, but see some slight decreases in the evening and overnight into Sunday morning as a bigger amount of players complete their Weekend League journey.

Rinse & Repeat

Promo and market preparation

It’s not always as simple as the schedule I explained above. Be aware of upcoming promos and things that impact areas of the market. Always make sure you know when and what is coming so you can better prepare yourself.

Anything from an SBC to a big content/pack promo can create huge changes in the market.

In cases where it’s largely unknown, go liquid by selling your assets before time. Don’t panic sell though, that goes without saying.

Expect those topics to be covered right here on FUTWIZ!
