Gameweek 17 Lineup Predictions and FPL Tips
After a week of Premier League action that saw two managers be sacked, gameweek 17 has arrived just before Christmas. All 20 of the teams are in action this weekend before they play again on Boxing Day. With it being uncertain how managers may line up during this congested period, we’re here to give you our lineup predictions and some FPL tips for the upcoming weekend.
Aston Villa vs Manchester City (K.O Saturday 12:30 pm)
Aston Villa’s Predicted Lineup

Manchester City’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Even though Manchester City have had a dip in form lately, it’s never a great idea to bring in players who face the Champions, so we’d recommend waiting a week before bringing in any Aston Villa players. Other than Erling Haaland (£14.9m) is City’s top point scorer in FPL. Josko Gvardiol (£6.1m) also regularly scores highly.
Brentford vs Nottingham Forest (K.O Saturday 3 pm)
Brentford’s Predicted Lineup

Nottingham Forest’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
We will continue to recommend Bryan Mbeumo (£7.6m) because he is constantly involved in the goals for Brentford. As for Nottingham Forest, Nikola Milenkovic (£4.6m) has scored twice in his last two games, which means there’s plenty of chance he can score highly in FPL again.
Ipswich vs Newcastle (K.O Saturday 3 pm)
Ipswich’s Predicted Lineup

Newcastle’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Ipswich’s fixtures are really tough for a long time now, so it’s best to transfer their players out for now. Lewis Hall (£4.6m) has been excellent for Newcastle this season. He scored 15 points in his last game and will be looking to continue this against Ipswich.
West Ham vs Brighton (K.O Saturday 3 pm)
West Ham’s Predicted Lineup

Brighton’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.6m) has proved to be influential from both right and left-back this season for the Hammers. He also assisted in his last game against Bournemouth. Joao Pedro (£5.9m) is selected by 22% of all FPL players and for a good reason. He is a low-risk option due to his price and has had two double-digit gameweeks this season.
Crystal Palace vs Arsenal (K.O Saturday 5:30 pm)
Crystal Palace’s Predicted Lineup

Arsenal’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Ismaila Sarr (£5.7m) had an outstanding gameweek last time out, scoring 17 points. Arsenal are a lot stronger defensively, so another gameweek like this is unlikely, but he’s definitely a threat. If Myles Lewis-Skelly (£4.5m) starts which we’ve predicted he will, then he’ll be a great choice for your squad due to his cheap price.
Everton vs Chelsea (K.O Sunday 2 pm)
Everton’s Predicted Lineup

Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Everton have yet another tough game here, and then Manchester City after, so we’d suggest not transferring in their players anytime soon. Enzo Fernandez (£5.1m) continues his impressive form which has seen him score incredibly highly over the last seven gameweeks. He is at a relatively low price which makes him an appealing choice.
Fulham vs Southampton (K.O Sunday 2 pm)
Fulham’s Predicted Lineup

Southampton’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Antonee Robinson (£4.8m) impressed against Liverpool when the American provided two assists. He’s been selected by just under 20% of players. As Southampton have a new manager incoming, we’re very unsure of how they will lineup for their next game, so we’d suggest waiting a few weeks before thinking about putting their players in.
Leicester vs Wolves (K.O Sunday 2 pm)
Leicester’s Predicted Lineup

Wolves’ Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
Leicester’s fixtures after this one aren’t appealing for the Foxes, so we recommend not transferring any of their players in even if they are likely to score highly against Wolves. After Gary O’Neil’s sacking, we’re not 100% sure on how they might lineup, but we believe that Matheus Cunha (£7.1m) will be one of the first names on the teamsheet due to his attacking influence.
Manchester United vs Bournemouth (K.O Sunday 2 pm)
Manchester United’s Predicted Lineup

Bournemouth’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
The easiest recommendation to make this week is to bring in Amad Diallo for £5.2m. He’s the most transferred-in player this week. Bournemouth’s Adam Smith (£4.5m) has scored 14 points across his last three gameweeks. He starts regularly for the Cherries so he will be a good budget option.
Tottenham vs Liverpool (K.O Sunday 4:30 pm)
Tottenham’s Predicted Lineup

Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup

FPL Tips
James Maddison (£7.6m) scored two goals which helped towards his 15-point gameweek last time out. However, their opponents are the opposite end of the table this time out. With Ibrahima Konate still out injured, Joe Gomez (£4.9m) is still expected to start, and with Liverpool’ defensive record, he could score highly here.
