Future Stars Badiashile - Spend or Swerve
POSITIVES & NEGATIVES
Positives
-
Badiashile’s most notable positive is his size and strength, he is 6’4” with and High and Average body type and 96 Strength so he wins a lot of strength duels with his opponents
-
Due to his size his 88 Interceptions he is able to intercept a decent amount of passes near him
-
Defensively very solid with good defensive attributes
-
95 Reactions and 94 Composure is good for a center back
-
He has a good range of passing with 87 Short Passing and 86 Long Passing
-
His base AcceleRATE is Lengthy and you can apply whatever chemistry style you wish and it will maintain his Lengthy AcceleRATE
-
He is easy to link as he has an extremely ‘meta’ Nation and League/Club
Negatives
-
Badiashile’s most notable negative is his 72 Acceleration, this is really noticeable in game and because of that is feels slow, possibly too slow for the current stage of the game
-
On the ball he feels extremely heavy, and this is due to his 53 Agility and 44 Balance
-
Due to his dribbling attributes and size he doesn’t feel very responsive, and his L2 jockey didn’t feel responsive enough for me
-
He only has 79 Aggression, and for a defender I prefer for my CBs to have a bit more. This isn’t a huge negative but it is still a negative for me
PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN? (Premier League CBs < 100k Coins)
Future Stars Guehi – 48K
-
Guehi Is pretty much better than Badiashile in all areas apart from Strength, Guehi offers that quicker and more agile type of defender with better defensive attributes
-
If I had to choose between one it would be an easy choice for me, Guehi would be my choice due to his responsiveness, speed and defensive attributes
WC Team of the Tournament Silva – 64K
-
Silva suffers with the same Acceleration issues as Badiashile, but he is superior in most other areas except Strength. Both players are pretty similar attributes wise thought so it is quite a close comparison.
-
I would chose Silva over Badiashile, mainly due to Silva having better agility/balance and defensive attributes
Road to the World Cup White – 96K
-
White is a more agile defender and has a much better pace split than Badiashile, but like the previous comparisons Badiashile’s main positive is his Strength, as he has much better physicals than White
-
I would still choose Ben White over Badiashile, as the low acceleration and poor agility/balance is just not what I am looking for in a defender
WC Phenoms Martinez – 62K
-
Martinez’s base position is LB however he can definitely be used as a CB, and from a defensive stand point there isnt much between these two cards, as expected the big difference is between the strength where Badiashile is far superior
-
In a somewhat repetitive fashion I would choose Martinez over Badiashile, as the low acceleration and poor agility/balance is just not what I am looking for in a defender
RATINGS
VERDICT
Sadly this card did not live up to expectations, it was quite clear after a few games that the key areas of this card which were poor were going to heavily hamper his performance.
Firstly though, the positives are that he is big, strong, good in the tackle and has a decent range of passing so more often than not he performed pretty well.
The main issue with this card is its 72 Acceleration and his low agility/balance, meaning he feels quite slow and not very responsive at times, so in those key moments where you need to be able to react quick with your center back he just falls short.
I don’t think this card is a terrible card, it’s actually pretty solid but when you consider the price of options which are better than or equal to him are cheaper than I find it hard to justify this card as a spend, so for me this one has to be a SWERVE!
