Hello and Welcome to Team of The Tournament Prediction for FUT 23 for World Cup. We’re at the end of our crazy journey and we should get one very good promo at the end of World Cup. There were some promos every week of WC, but this one should top others.

I didn’t go with usual TOTW route, so upgrades are mostly random in my Prediction and I hope it’ll be the case and we’ll get some really good cards.

Problem with choosing players: a lot of them got some sort of promo card in the past 3 or so weeks. For example – I want to include Acuna for LB spot, but he just got Showdown card and it’s hard for me to include him. Same goes for a lot of other players: Giroud – impossible to ignore, but he just got special card, Hakimi – same, Griez – same. A lot of other options that I neglected – were for the same reason. I wanted to include either Saka or Bellignham from England – but they just got very good cards. I know that I’m including Hakimi, but it’s an exception as Morocco went to semis.

Of course – I’m focusing on semi finalists more than other players, that’s why there are a lot of French players, Croatia, Morocco and Argentina. To be fair – I didn’t include many players from Argentina, only Messi and Otamendi, who I thought performed the best from all of them. I’ve tried to find more players from Argentina – but who? You tell me. Maybe Nahuel Molina who played well, when he played. Or Lisandro who just got special card. Honestly, idk, there weren’t that many inspirational performances from individuals, but more from whole team.

For Croatia – Livakovic as penalty hero and insane xG, Gvardiol for amazing defending and Modric for being Modric and playing at amazing level. I also went with Juranovic, who was a surprise to many viewers. Young Celtic RB performed amazingly well vs great wingers at WC and his moment of shine was vs Brazil, where he was sensational.

For Morocco – Hakimi and Mazraoui as they were very good in every game they’ve played and overall Morocco defense was amazing – that’s why Bono is there, he’s just simply not conceding goals. Amrabat and Ounani were probably most surprising players to the world, both were crucial in midfield and played fantastically. Well, technically I can also include Saiss who was great in defense and performed well, but 5 players from Morocco feels like overall too much.

For France – Griezmann as their engine, Mbappe as their superstar, Giroud as goalscorer, Upamecano for best defender and Theo is the most debatable pick. I wasn’t sure to include him or not, I can expect him to be left out and it’s fiiiine. LB position is very hard for me, I didn’t know who to include. There were a lot of good performers but not anyone that amazing as for example at RB. I still don’t know if Griez or Giroud will be included due to their recent appearances in promos, but still it’s impossible to ignore them.

To be more fair I’ve included likes of Bruno and Gakpo to highlight their whole WC campaign. They both were good and played fantastic. Gakpo scored 3 goals, Bruno was great with his assists. People called to include Dumfries, but in all honesty, even as one of the biggest Denzel fans – he wasn’t incredible. His most notable performance was vs USA and he didn’t play that well vs Argentina or Ecuador, for example.

As I went with only 18 players – there were some players that I left out: Kudus, just because they failed to qualify for R16, Souttar – possibly silver stars, as he was good for Australia in their historic result, Bellingham and Saka as I’ve said before. It’s hard to exclude likes of Doan too, who was a hero for Japan and their heroics in group of death too.

Let’s see what EA will cook, but as per usual – I’m hoping to get a deceeent result, so let’s see how it goes. And as always:

Good luck with your packs.
