Let’s discuss Bundesliga POTM for March.
March might deliver one of the better POTMs yet, so let’s see how everyone played and name few contenders. Spoiler – it’ll be most probably Bayern player who wins it.
Let’s start.
Robert Lewandowski. What a month for Poland striker. Scored 6 goals in 4 games. He should’ve scored more. Really missed few sitters, but still scored 6 goals. That what Lewa does. And if he wins POTM – he’ll be a good one and expensive
Chances of POTM: 40%
Tips for investing:
Bundesliga squad: 86-88 rated squad with few Germans in it and probably 1-2 IFs.
Bayern squad: 86-88 rated squad. Same as previous, but with Bayern players and IFs. Yeah, I’m guessing probably 87 rated squad
Just high rated squad: Expecting another 87 rated squad to boost price of POTM
Lewa card: This might be AubaAguero case, because there’re no other Poland players from Bayern. Might require either his NIF or any other special card.
March goals
Worth investing? You can easily invest in high rated Bundesliga players, BUT only after Birthday SBCs expire. Because they are highly overpriced. You can gamble on Lewa’s cards, but that’s a lot of risk
Estimated cost: 700k-950k. Really expensive card, expecting close to TOTS card (95 rated or so). Worth doing? If you don’t plan to get his TOTS – yes. I cannot recommend Lewa more, because he’s one of the better strikers in game.
Max Kruse
Unreal month for Max. Werder won 3 games and drew 1 game. Max Kruse scored in every game and assisted in 3 out of 4. Overall he managed to get whooping 6 goals and 3 assists in 4 games. He deserves POTM, but he doesn’t get enough recognition, so he’ll probably miss out on POTM.
Chances of POTM: 200%
Tips for investing:
Overall I’m expecting close to Brandt requirements: 3×84 rated squads and 85 rated squad or so.
Worth investing? If I were investing in Kruse POTM – I’d invest in someone like SuleJavi MartinezOther decently rated players from Bundesliga.
Estimated Cost: 150-200k. Same as Brandt.
James Rodriguez is the 3rd candidate for me this month. James recorded 4 goals and 1 assist in 4 games. He got 3 MOTMs, scored hat-trick vs Mainz and also deserves POTM. He really can win, just because Fan Vote matters. There’re a lot of Columbian fans and they might swing the vote towards James, like a lot of people did with Reus
Chances of POTM: 20%
Tips for investing:
A lot of high rated players: I’d expect him to be a little bit cheaper than Lewa, but still would be really expensive card.
Worth investing? Few cross-investments with other POTMs and you’ll be safe.
Estimated cost: 500-700k. I can’t see him being cheaper than Goretzka, and Goretzka was expensive. Even tho James isn’t really meta-ish card and loses to Reus, it still will be a good card, in my opinion.
There’re a lot more candidates, but I won’t bother with investments about them, because I think they have no chance, but let’s name them: Filip Kostic, Benito Raman, Milot Rashica
We’re back to more expensive POTM, but that was expected as it comes closer to the end of a season, so big boys start performing.
Last month I was right with Brandt, even though I’m sad that Roussillon missed out on another chance to get special card.
