Flashback Falcao and Rulebreakers Robertone - Spend or Swerve

POSITIVES & NEGATIVES

• Positives

  • A lethal finisher and his trivela shots were incredible

  • Very good in the air despite only being 5’10”

  • He felt very well rounded as an attacker, could attack and score in many ways

  • Can be changed to a Lengthy AcceleRATE with the Architect chemistry style

  • Finesse Shot and Outside Foot Shot trait which is very meta right now

• Negatives

  • 3* Skill Moves is not ideal as he cannot perform the Heel to Ball Roll

  • A difficult Nation and Club to link to, making getting 3 chemistry points hard

PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN?

• Benzema – Benzema is a more complete striker, he does everything Falcao can but a little better.

• Lewandowski – Lewandowski is better as a target man style striker, whereas Falcao is quicker and can get in behind. These are two quite similar cards but the preference will definitely be playstyle dependant.

• HERO Morientes – Morientes edges this, however they are very similar in their performance. Morientes also has 4* skill moves which Falcao doesn’t.

• IF Correa – Correa has better dribbling, but Falcao offers more physically and aerially, again though these are two quite similar cards but the preference will definitely be playstyle dependant.

RATINGS

VERDICT

Falcao is a superb card, and performed much better than I thought he would, he seemed to perform at a higher level than his face card attributes would suggest.

He offered me the opportunity to score or create in many different ways which was something that I enjoyed when using him, the only issue with the card is the 3* skill moves.

The SBC is priced very fairly, especially when he is cheaper than all tradeable options so it’s definitely a Spend.

• Positives

  • A very well rounded card, can play CDM/CM or CAM depending on chemistry style used

  • Really good left stick dribbling, you can definitely feel his 97 Agility

  • Very good in the tackle, seemed to come away with the ball quite often

  • Felt very quick to cover ground, and was able to cut passing lanes quickly

  • 4* Skill Moves, 4* Weak Foot & Finesse Shot Trait

• Negatives

  • A difficult club to link to, which makes getting 3 chemistry points harder

PLAYER COMPARISONS – IS HE BETTER THAN?

• Rulebreakers Fekir – Fekir is a better CAM and attacking CM, but Robertone is much better defensively

• POTM Valverde – These two are pretty close in performace, but Valverde just edges it in most areas

• RTTK Lemar – Lemar is better offensively, but Robertone is better defensively

• Kessie – Kessie is better as an outright CDM, but Robertone is better at everything else

RATINGS

VERDICT

Robertone surprised me at how good he was, he has a very well rounded card, however I didn’t expect him to perform so well in game.

The thing I enjoyed the most about him was his responsiveness and agility, this allowed me to pick the ball up from deep and really push up the field with him.

He is a very enjoyable card and at a very fair price, the only issue being getting him on 3 chemistry might be hard but other than that he is well worth the coins and an easy Spend.
