fifaRAWR's Team of the Week Predictions: Week 35
Many leagues across Europe are drawing to a finale and that makes predicting the TOTW very interesting. Congratulations to Manchester City for clinching the Premier League title on Sunday, let’s see how you’re represented in the TOTW shall we? Also, I’m expecting the Serie A TOTS tomorrow so that’s why I’m not considering Sassuolo’s wonder-kid Domenico Berardi for this week’s prediction as there’s a chance he could make the TOTS.
Enjoy though lads, and if you could remember to leave your suggestions in the comments as well as following myself and FUTWIZ on Twitter and perhaps even sharing this around to your mates, that would be brilliant.
You might have been expecting to see Vincent Kompany in this week’s team, but seeing as his TOTS was so recent, I’ve opted for Manchester City’s French midfielder Samir Nasri (who’s position may be wrong, I know). He scored City’s first in the 2-0 win over West Ham as well as being voted as the MOTM.
A similar predicament is that of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who may have been voted kicker’s POTW in his last ever game for Borussia Dortmund after scoring a wonderful brace, but seeing as he was in TOTS only last week I’ve had to exclude him. However, there is a replacement; Mats Hummels. Mats I feel should’ve not only been in last week’s Bundesliga TOTS, but also played well enough to have a chance of a great looking SIF card
The final notable exclusion is Galatasaray’s Dutch wizard Wesley Sneijder who like Lewandowski, scored a wonderful brace in a convincing win (including an incredible free kick, look it up!). But, yet again, seeing as he’s received a MOTM card so recently I’ve had to opt for an alternative who comes in the form of Semih Kaya. Kaya didn’t play in his usual position in the centre of defence but as a marauding right back instead and it proved to be a good tactical switch from Roberto Mancini, as Semih picked up two assists.
