fifaRAWR's Team of the Week Predictions: Week 34
Very rarely will I leave a defender off of the bench but this very was another tricky week, lots of good attacking performances and standout performances in hugely important games so I’m afraid a defender did have to be sacrificed! Expecting the Bundesliga Team of the Season tomorrow so I’ve toned down on those players in this team, plus excluded Max Kruse altogether as he has a very good shot as the TOTS; not so sure about Mario Gotze. Enjoy lads and remember, if you could leave your suggestions in the comments as well as following myself and FUTWIZ on Twitter and perhaps even sharing this around to your mates, that would be brilliant.
How much would a bottle bottle, if a bottle could bottle bottle?
Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool. Deary me. You’d almost think no one wants to win La Liga given this weekend’s results, Atletico went down 2-0 at Levante, mainly thanks to an outstanding goalkeeping performance from Keylor Navas however, Barcelona’s poor form continued as they drew 2-2 at home to struggling Getafe and Real Madrid could only manage a point at home to Valencia! Diego Alves, Dani Parejo and Jeremy Mathieu were Valencia’s standouts on the night and the final of the trio has made his way into my prediction, not only for his performance versus Real Madrid but for an outstanding showing in midweek against Sevilla in the Europa League (yes, I do know they were still eliminated though). Finally we have Liverpool and their capitulation from 3-0 up with 10 minutes to go against Crystal Palace. It had been plain sailing until then but a deflected strike from Damian Delaney and a brace from super-sub Dwight Gayle secured Palace a point and badly, badly dented Liverpool’s title hopes. You might be expecting to see Gayle in the team then but I’m afraid not Palace fans, I simply could not squeeze him in given other performances – still a fair chance he could make EA’s team though!
Football League In-Forms
The Championship and League’s 1 and 2 now have more in-forms than Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Yes, you read that right… and it not going to change anytime soon. Three more this week I predict and all three will be for hat-tricks. Danny Hollands for his in a South Coast(ish) derby against Plymouth, Charlton youngster Callum Harriott got his against Blackpool in 3-0 a victory and Danny Ward came off the bench for the injured(?) Nahki Wells and netted his away at Watford. Apologies to Blackburn fans in the absence of Craig Conway though, like Gayle, I couldn’t squeeze him in my eighteen but he does still have a good shot at an in-form. All in all though, another good week for the English Lower Leagues!
