fifaRAWR's Team of the Week Predictions: Week 27 - The Final Team

We’ve passed the halfway mark in FIFA 14’s lifespan and the TOTW’s are hotting up accordingly, after four 84+ players last week, I’d be expecting at least five this week in what looks like another good week. 12/18 is not too bad of a score by any means but I’m hoping to break 13/14 this week and I guess we’ll see if I can do that! Without further ado, let’s unveil the team!

I would not be at all surprised to see Iniesta or Jordi Alba in the final team, but I’ve gone for the Argentine magician himself; Lionel Messi. He scored (another) hattrick in Barca’s 7-0 demolition of Osasuna, as well as grabbing an assist, and in doing so became Barcelona’s all time top scorer, surpassing Paulo Alcantara according to the Catalan club. Still the best in the world for me.

Another player capable of wizardry with his feet is Manchester City’s Spanish star David Silva and despite City going down to 10 early in the match after having captain Vincent Kompany sent off, they managed to claim an admirable 2-0 win away from home against Hull. He whipped in the first shortly after Kompany’s dismissal from 25 yards before setting up Edin Dzeko to seal the victory late in the second half. A surprisingly solid performance from Martin Demichelis too, who was a rock in defence given the circumstances.

Finally, an Italian legend. Gianluigi Buffon. The veteran goalkeeper saved an Emanuele Calaio penalty and numerous other Genoa attempts as Juventus scraped another close win away from home. Andrea Pirlo bent home a free kick to win the match for The Old Lady late on but I feel Gianluigi will be the one receiving the in form.
