Part 2 of this week’s TOTW Predictions and in this part I’ll be covering the remaining leagues from around the world! Part 1 of this week’s predictions is view able here as well as last week’s Part 2, here, just in case anyone is a little puzzled as to how this part is going to work.

In short though, what we’re going to be doing in this part is providing a less in depth write up on the remaining leagues. One team of 18 players is visible below, but they’re only the 18 players that I feel are most likely to get an in form; there’s more on my shortlist that I haven’t included in the team and I’m by no means ruling them out. So if there’s someone you feel should get an in form, but isn’t in the team, don’t worry!

Two goalkeepers were in fine penalty saving form for their respective sides this weekend, the Ivorian Copa was key for Lokeren as they pulled off a great 2-0 win at Gent, which included saving a Jelle Vossen penalty and Dutchman Robbin Ruiter was fantastic for Utrecht, making seven saves in all and saving a penalty from former Motherwell striker Michael Higdon in their 2-0 win. A penalty shootout decided the victor of the MLS Cup and it turned out to be Sporting KC, who had initially drew 1-1 over the 120 minutes with Real Salt Lake, that won the thrilling penalty shootout 7-6; French centre-back Aurelien Collin scored a goal in regular time, was fantastic at the back throughout and converted his penalty very neatly and was duly given the MOTM award. Another Americas tournament approaching it’s finale is the Liga MX Apertura and Aquivaldo Mosquera was on target for America against Toluca as they progressed to the final, 2-0 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate. Another defender on target was Welsh centre back Troy Brown who scored the only goal in League 2 Cheltenham’s 1-0 over Morecambe.

A duo of Vitesse players next and I’ll be honest, they could’ve had three or four representatives in this TOTW as they stuck six past struggling PSV. Left back and Chelsea loanee, not that that even requires to be specified anymore, Patrick Van Aanholt scored one of the six and assisted two more, a feat repeated by Brazilian left winger Lukas Piazon, who is also on loan from, you guessed it… I’ll move on. The other Eredivise player in the team is Ajax central midfielder is Davy Klaassen and the youngster scored a hattrick for Ajax as they beat NAC Breda 4-0 – shame his card looks a little poor! A couple of Brazilian attacking midfielders now and it was an eventful final day of matches in Brazil, perhaps not for all the right reasons following the terrible violence in Joinville, but Walter Montillo and Brazilian legend Ronaldinho were the stars on the pitch. Montillo scored twice for Santos to end Goias’ Copa Libertadores dream and a Morocco-bound Ronaldinho scored a fantastic free kick and then a penalty in Galo’s 2-2 draw with Vitoria. Taking a trip around the globe next to Saudi Arabia and Al Ahli (not to be confused with the other 12,000 Al Ahli’s that appear to be out there) midfielder Taisir Al Jussim scored twice and assisted once as they beat, and leapfrogged, Najran 3-2. Temporarily returning to the football league and on loan Celtic youngster Callum McGregor scored twice in Shaun Derry’s first win as Notts County boss, a 3-1 win over an erratic Gillingham and sticking with the Celtic theme, Kris Commons scored twice for the Bhoys as they scored a hat load away from home again, this time beating Motherwell 5-0.

Brazilian winger Sidnei was awarded the title of A-League Player of the Week, scoring two goals including a potential goal of the season candidate and grabbing an assist in a six goal thriller. Also, what is it with Colombians and the Portuguese League? First Falcao and Rodriguez, now Fredy Montero and Jackson Martinez; both scored twice at the weekend in their respective matches as Porto and Sporting jossle with Benfica for top spot, a title race which is bound to go down to the wire. German striker Kevin Kuranyi scored both of Dinamo’s goals in their 2-0 win over Amkar Perm, the first a header and the second from the penalty spot and the final player in the team takes us back to the football league for one last time, Derby striker Chris Martin scored a hattrick including two penalties in a 5-1 win over an ill disciplined to say the least Blackpool side, five red cards in two games?! Ridiculous!

Join me later on today where I’ll be showing you the final team!
