fifaRAWR's FIFA 15 Team of the Week Predictions: Week 44
The less said about last week the better. These weeks can be tricky to pretty and all, but my god I never expecting to register a score as lowly at 7. Thankfully I’m more confident about this week, but then again, isn’t that what I said about last week too…?
This week is all about the strikers in the squad. We’ve got a terrific looking bronze target-man, the legendary Kim “Koreahimovic” Shin Wook, as well as a man that stands over a full foot shorter than the Korean in the form of the “Atomic Ant” and finally, the incredibly talented but incredibly half-arsed Ignacio Scocco.
So, the “Atomic Ant”, otherwise known as Sebastian Giovinco; is he the best player in MLS at the moment? Despite being overlooked for the likes of Obafemi Martins and David Villa by the fans of MLS in the recent AT&T MLS All-Star Game Fan XI, he’s certainly up there and he proved that in a stunning 4-4 draw over the weekend in which himself and the aforementioned David Villa were on fire. The Spaniard managed a meager two goal haul, compared to Giovinco’s hat-trick and assist; he also missed a penalty! Let’s hope he eventually makes it into the All-Star squad because that would be one hell of a special item!
The other standout players for me in this week’s prediction are both Argentinians. Philly’s Cristian Maidana shot up the overall assists leaderboard in MLS as he registered 3 in Union’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Portland Timbers and River Plate’s Ramiro Funes Mori scored an awesome free kick as they drew 1-1 at home.
