Hello and welcome to Premier League Player of The Month Predictions for April. It’s one of the 2 last POTMs that we’ll see during this FUT, so let’s make it good and exciting one. Let’s go.

A lot of teams played well over April, a lot of cool performances and I don’t know where to start. I feel like there will be no rankings this time, just because these options are all kinda similar and who am I to decide who’s better then other.

We start in Liverpool, who seemed to turn their season around. They went unbeaten after 1st loss to City and drew 2 games and won 4. Two main performers of their turn-around are Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota. First, we’ll talk about Jota, who came back after injury and started performing well. He got an assist vs City in first half, but Liverpool lost. Then he went a bit quiet, came back vs Leeds, scored 2 goals, got 1 assist, continued with 2 goals against Forest in 3-2 win and scored a winning goal in a mad 4-3 game vs Spurs. He got an IF recently, but that wouldn’t help, as he already has Fantasy FUT. Bascially his POTM might be 89 or 90 rated. It’d be cheap at this stage of the FUT, so let’s say around 70k.

Now, let’s talk about Trent. He wasn’t having a best season, but then Klopp changed system to fit him and it clicked. It all started in a game vs Arsenal and continued for the rest of the month. 1 assist vs Arsenal, 2 vs Leeds, 1 vs Forest, 1 vs West Ham and 1 vs Spurs. So he got 6 assists in 5 games, a lot of praises everywhere and it’s unusual for defender (even tho he’s kinda midfielder) to get this run of assists. TAA doesn’t have any IFs, but has a very good Centurions card. This POTM would be similar rating, but would have different stats. Centurions still would be better card, so I expect this one to be 90 rated and cost around 60k.

We have another team with 2 good performers and it’s Manchester City. This club at the end of the seasons is a different beast. They had hard schedule with 2 cups and hard games in PL and cruised past them. They won every game in Prem, and KDB with Haland performed at the best level possible. First – KDB. Fun fact – KDB never won Prem POTM so far. Yeah, that’s strange, but it might change this month: 1 goal and 1 assist vs Liverpool in 4-1 win, 1 assist in 4-1 vs Southampton, 1 assist vs Leicester in 3-1 and 2 goals and 1 assist in most important game vs Arsenal. Kevin went absolutely clutch and I’d love to see first KDB POTM, even during TOTS, which he’ll get. Rating wise it’s hard – he already has 3 IFs and I don’t think EA would give him 95 rated card, but 94 rated card would be very good (expect it to be less, if he wins). 500k for his SBC and everyone happy, okay, EA? Nice.

Erling Haland continued his magic and broke Salah’s record. He didn’t play vs Liverpool, but after that went another level: 2 goals vs Southampton, 2 vs Leicester, 1 goals and 2 assists vs Arsenal and 1 goal vs Fulham. Overall, very strong month. He didn’t get SBC for his POTM win in August, but this time he has a chance (even tho I prefer other options). His POTM would be 90 rated, I guess. He has OTW 91 rated, but he hasn’t had many IFs (for obvious reasons, otherwise he’d be 99 rated already). His 90 rated card worth 300k – so I expect SBC for the same price. Dunno if many people would be interested, as his TOTS should be out, but not many can afford his best cards and it’d be as an alternative.

Now, Newcastle time. Actually it’s Callum Wilson time. What a month for Callum. I can’t remember when he played that well before this month, probably in Bournemouth. Let’s go: 1 goal vs Manchester United in 2-0 win, 2 goals in 5-1 win vs West Ham, 1 assist in 2-1 win vs Brentford, 1 goal vs Spurs in 6-1 demolishing, 2 goals vs Everton in 4-1 win and 2 goals (technically 3) vs Southampton in 3-1 comeback. That’s going to be 8 goals and 1 assists, thank you, here’s your POTM. Of course he’s a favorite, and he’d be such a good choice, because unlike others – he doesn’t have a better card. He has 82 IF, so I’d want POTM to be 87-89 rated to make him useful. Just imagine fast Callum Wilson running vs TOTS defenders. It’ll be fun. I expect his card to be 70k or so.

And the last player is actually hard to choose. I have few options for you and you’ll decide who looks like a better option:

Dominic Solanke went clutch for Bournemouth and probably saved them from relegation with his 3 goals and 3 assist in those 7 games. He scored 1 goal in 2-1 win vs Fulham, 1 goal and 2 assists vs Spurs in 2-3 win, 1 assist in 1-0 win vs Southampton and 1 goal in 4-1 win vs Leeds. Overall every his contribution was important. Sadly he doesn’t have any specials this season, so his POTM would be around 86 and he should be very cheap, around 20k.

Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace did a similar job to Solanke and with Roy Hodgson in charge had a very good month. 4 goals in 6 games and all goals were important: 2 goals vs Southampton in 2-0 win, 1 goal in 5-1 win vs Leeds and 1 goal in 4-3 win vs West Ham. He somehow didn’t get an IF for a game vs Southampton, so his POTM would be lower rated, but his card can be 87-88 just to make him good for this stage of the game. Another 30k card.

And the last option is kinda funny one. Harry Kane. Despite Spurs being a truck on fire – he had a good month. He scored 4 goals and got 1 assist in 6 goals. 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Everton, 1 goal in 2-1 win vs Brighton, 1 goal in 6-1 loss vs Newcastle, 1 assist in 2-2 draw vs Manchester United and 1 goal in 4-3 loss at Anfield. If those games were wins – I’d see him being a nice option, but results for his club were shambolic. He hasn’t had many IFs – so his POTM would be 9192 and would worth just fodder value.

Overall, I think Callum Wilson should win POTM. Other options like TAA, KDBHaland are good ones, but Callum had an insane month with 8 goals and 1 assist and he helped Newcastle in their run for top 4 massively.
