FIFA 23: Player of The Month Predictions for Ligue 1 - March
Hello and welcome to Ligue 1 Player of The Month Predictions for March. A lot of good performers, but only 3 nominees. 2 of those were easy to chose, while 1 was debatable to say at least. Let’s see what March brought us.
I’ll start with an obvious pick, winner and good FUT card – Lois Openda from Lens. He found insane form in March and scored 5 goals and got 1 assist in 3 games that he played in. He scored 3 goals and got an assist vs Clermont and got 2 goals vs Angers in 3-0 win. He was quiet in a game vs Lille, but it was a hrad opponent, so let’s not blame him here. He recently got 87 rated IF and his POTM should be crazy. I expect 8889 rated card, that wouldn’t be too expensive (between 60-100k) and should be very nice one to play with. Sadly he has only 3 stars on WF and Skills, so let’s hope that his TOTS will change that.
Another good candidate – Jonathan David. Canadian sensation scored 4 goals in 3 games, but sadly Lille only won 1 game. David scored 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Lens and got 3 goals in 3-3 draw vs Lyon. Lille choked hard that game and David did all he could, but sadly it wasn’t enough. He was quiet vs Toulouse, but Lille won that game 2-0. David, similar to Openda, recently got a high rated IF – 88 one and his potential POTM would be 8990 rated card with 5* WF and 3* Skills. His TOTS should be at least 45. So, David would be around 100k too and he’d be a very nice super sub.
The last player is kinda hard to choose, so I’ll give you 3 options.
Option 1: Alexander Lacazette from Lyon. He returned from England and having an incredible season. This month wasn’t an exception. He scored 4 goals in 3 games: 1 goal in 2-1 win over Lens, 2 goals in 3-3 draw vs Lille and got 1 goal in a draw vs Nantes. To be fair – Laca having a wonderful season. 17 goals in 25 games is magnificent result, even tho few of them were from pen spot. If Laca wins an award – he’d be 87-88 rated card and would have some nice stats, but his Winter Wildcard would be much better due to bigger boosts. I’d say 50k for him.
Next option is Alexis Sanchez from Olympic Marseille. He scored 3 goals in 3 games and Marseille had a good March with 2 wins and 1 unfortunate draw to Strasbourg. Alexis scored 2 goals in 2-1 win over Will Still’s Reims and brought him first L. He also scored a pen in 2-2 draw to Strasbourg. If he wins – he’d be 86 rated card or so. Not many people would be interested in that card while we have his amazing FUT Fantasy card that’s getting some upgrades already! Around 20k for his potential POTM.
And last, but not least –Teji Savanier from Montpellier. If you hear Montpellier – Teji is probably your first association right now (before GiroudBelhanda). Another magic month from him with 2 goals and 1 assist. Teji and Montpellier had a decent streak of results that brought them out of relegation zone with 3 wins in March. Teji scored 2 goals vs Angers in 5-0 win, 1 assist in 1-0 win over Ajaccio and was good vs Clermont. Teji always gets some special card and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’ll get nominated this month too. He already had 2 IFs and this POTM would be good 89 rated card, that probably would worth around 70k or so. His TOTS should be again pretty good card with already 4* Skills and 5* WF. Can’t wait.
Of course Openda should win it, clearly had the best month, but can’t ignore others too. Lacazette and David would be my 2 other choices for Nominees, so let’s see who we’ll get!
