FIFA 23 Player of The Month Predictions: Bundesliga - October
Hello and welcome to Bundesliga POTM Predictions for October in FUT 23. We’re already in November, so we need to cover October, which was really good and we might see a very nice winner. Or maybe not. Last month was a bit disappointing in terms of FUT – Fullkrug deservedly won, but his FUT card wasn’t sensational, and, honestly, I never played against it. Let’s see what October will bring us.
So far – I don’t know what rating progression is for FUT POTMs this year, so sometimes ratings might be a bit random and that’s alright. I won’t overpower them too much, so you won’t expect too much from them.
As for teams – Bayern is a favorite this month. They won 4 games and drew 1 and overall was most inform team after rough September. They are looking very strong and should see at least 1 nominee. Apart from them – some old friends returning and some nice possible cards might happen.
As per usual – I’m going from least likeliest to most likeliest player when I go down the list.
Let’s do this.

Jude Bellingham is my first candidate. Personally Jude had very good month, unlike his team. Jude got 3 goals and 1 assist in 5 games, but BVB won only 2 out of 5 games, drew vs Bayern and lost to Union and Koln. But, still, Jude should get at least nomination. Jude is very popular player right now and he’s good in FUT too, so that would be very nice POTM. He already received 1 IF and should get TOTGS so rating wise for POTM is hard. I’d say – 87 is fair. More usable than his IF, but not that big of an upgrade. His IF worth 30k on both markets right now, so his POTM would be worth between 60 and 100k, in my opinion.
Next up I have Wolfsburg player. Overall Wolfsburg turned their very bad situation to pretty bad this month, but they went unbeaten with 2 wins and 3 draws. Several players were highlights for them. Gerhartd scored 3 goals for them, but my choice would be Otavio from left-back position who got 4 assists in 5 games. 1 assist vs Stuttgart in 3-2 win, 2 assists vs Monchengladbach in 2-2 draw, 1 assist in 4-0 win over Bochum. So yeah, Otavio should get nominated (or other player from Wolfsburg). If Otavio wins – he’d be 84 rated card with some decent stats for his rating and probably would be rather usable (but we already got CHO and Raum for LB position in Bundes, so it’d be kinda pointless card). Should be worth around 30k max.
Previous winner returns with an impressive month, once again. Nicolas Fullkrug got 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 games, while his Bremen got 3 wins and 2 assists and sit comfortably in the middle of the table (unlike Schalke *cough-cough*). Fullkrug scored 2 goals vs Monchengladbach, got an assist vs them too, scored and assisted vs Hoffenheim, scored vs Hertha in 1 win. He didn’t score in any out of 2 defeats this month, so yeah, overall, he had an impressive month. Last POTM was 84 rated, so if he wins – this one should be at least 86 and it’ll be interesting card… He’d be lengthy and even better than previous one, so he might be usable. I guess he’d be worth around 50k, if he’d win. Would be fair for his card.
I’ve mentioned Monchengladbach few times, but they didn’t just lose every game. They won 1, drew 1 and lost 3. But that didn’t stop Marcus Thuram from scoring 5 goals this month. 1 goal in 5-1 defeat to Werder, 1 goal in 5-2 win over Koln, 2 goals in a draw vs Wolfsburg and 1 goal in 3-1 defeat vs Frankfurt. To me – it looks alright, but of course, results are bad. If it didn’t matter that much – he’d be way higher in picking order. Still, Marcus has very nice FTOTW card, so his POTM should be 86, otherwise it’d be useless (yeah, I’m trying to use some logic here, but honestly, I still don’t know how ratings work this year with POTMs). Would worth around 50k or so.
So, let’s cover Leipzig and old friend: Christopher Nkunku. Leipzig won 3 games this month and drew 2 with under new coach and Nkunku, alongside Werner and Szoboslai were main heroes. Nkunku scored vs Bayer in 3-0 win, vs Augsburg in 3-3 draw, vs Mainz in 1-1 draw and vs Bochum he scored 2 goals in 4-0 win. Solid month, maybe not as solid as last year, but still should get at least nomination, plus results played in his favor. Nkunku would be 87 rated POTM, I’m sure. +1 on his nice base card is fair. He’d worth around 100k, I guess, basing on his NIF.
And last, but not least: Bayern Munich. There are 3 good candidates from Bayern: Mane with 3 goals and 2 assists (most of them in 1 game tho), Jamal Musiala with 4 goals and 3 assists and Choupo-Moting with 3 goals and 2 assists. It’s hard to nominate only 1 player. I think, if we get 7 nominees – it’d be easier: both Choupo and Jamal. But even if we go with 6 – someone from previous list might be skipped for 2 Bayern players. I guess, if it’s Musiala – he’d be 86 rated card with some nice stats and would be a bit usable, compared to his IF card. He’d be really cheap, like 30k max, IMO. If it’s Choupo – then he’d be 84 rated card with some decent stats and close to first POTM of Fullkrug. Both wouldn’t be expensive and won’t be as usable as people would hope for. Choupo scored vs Mainz, Hoffenheim, Freirburg and assisted vs Mainz and Freiburg. Musiala got a goal vs Mainz, Hoffenheim, Bayer Leverkusen and got assists vs Bayer and BVB.
So, yeah. That’s a wrap. A bit mediocre POTM for me, but hopefully it’ll become better and better with each month progressing. For me – winner isn’t obvious, but we probably should expect Musiala or Fullkrug IMO.
