FIFA 22: Team of the Season Predictions: Eredivisie
Hello and Welcome to Eredivisie Team Of The Season Predictions. Eredivisie was as always exciting this season and not only Ajax who shined.
As it’s TOTS from lower rated leagues – there will be less players, I’m including 17, but there will be even less (I think). I’m just covering main candidates and some reserve options for main team.
As Ajax looking to win another title, they’ll have most players in TOTS, that was obvious. But still I’m trying to include more teams, as there were 4-5 pretty good performers this season. PSV losing title in very close race, Feynoord stayed 3rd and had good year, Twente were surprise of the season and will probably finish 4th spot and we’ll have a very fun Play-Off for European Spots with AZ, Vitesse and Utrecht.
So, no one will disagree that front 3 of Ajax will get TOTS: Haller scored 20 goals, Tadic got 12 goals and 17 assists to his name, while Antony got 12 goals and assists. Antony actually the weakest choice from those 3, but he still had a very good year.
Fun position in this TOTS: Left Winger. Apart from Tadic, I have Sinisterra, Karlsson and Gakpo. All 3 players performed really well and it’ll be interesting to see who will get excluded. Probably Sinisterra. Karlsson got 23 contributions, Gakpo 22, Sinisterra 17.
Moving to midfielders – we have 3 main candidates from PSV and Feyenoord. To me Sangare and Kokcu are by far the best midfielders in Eredivisie. Yeah, Gravenberch might be the most hyped one, but Kokcu is the POTY for me. He was insane for Feyenoord and their good season happened because of him mainly. Kokcu got 7 goals and 8 assists and overall was very impressive. Sangare was the best defensive midfielder this season and was very impressive for PSV and probably will get summer move to big club. Apart from those 2: Gravenberch will be in TOTS, even tho I don’t think he deserves it, and last choice would be Joey Veerman. Joey had very bright season with 7 goals and 10 assists to his name and deserves at least moments or some SBC card.
In defense: Mainly Ajax defenders. Lisandro and Timber were really good and solid and only conceded 15 goals this season and kept 18 clean sheets. Traumer was great for Feyenoord and was better than Senesi in my opinion (Senesi still might get it over Traumer, even tho it would be weird choice IMO). And for full-backs my choices are Wijndal and Mazraoui. As you saw – there were a lot of good left wingers in Eredivisie this season, that’s why including right back was hard. Mazraoui was the best from the rest in my opinion and he probably will get nice TOTS. Wijndal was my choice for LB, other option was Malacia, but to me Wijndal was more impressive and needed more players from AZ imo.
And the last choice for this team, Goalkeeper: Lars Unnerstall from Twente. I still remember him playing for Schalke back in the days, but now he’s playing in Eredivisie and playing great. Twente kept 11 clean sheets and Lars was the reason for that. Pasveer kept the most CS, but it wouldn’t be fair to include him over Unnerstall, as Remko has much better defense in front of him.
So yeah, this was very short and quick rundown on Eredivisie TOTS and we should get something really close to this ( I hope so), as there weren’t many good options, apart from those that I’ve listed.

CM: Ibrahim Sangare (PSV) – 77> 91 – 3 goals, 1 assist, best tackle and interception stat in 25 games
CM: Orkun Kokcu (Feyenoord) – 77>92 – 7 goals and 8 assists
CM: Ryan Gravenberch (Ajax) – 78>95 – 2 goals and 5 assists in 29 games
LW: Dusan Tadic (Ajax) – 84>93 – 12 goals and 17 assists
ST: Sebastian Haller (Ajax) – 80>94 – 20 goals
RW: Antony (Ajax) – 79>91 – 8 goals and 4 assists in 23 games
