Hello and welcome to the last Premier League Player Of The Month Prediction in FUT 22. It was a very fun year, a lot of nice and deserved winners, we got some Siuuu’s and a nice dynamic images. Time to wrap season up with final POTM.

Manchester City won title, deservedly so, and a lot of players came in clutch this month, we’ll speak about them later. Liverpool finished 2nd with very good finish to a season. They came very close, but not enough. Still gotta praise them, and of course I’ll nominate at least 1 player from Liverpool.

Chelsea – we don’t talk about them, they are still blacklisted by EA and I’m not sure if we’ll get even nominee for them. Spurs magically finished 4th, just over Arsenal and game between them was the most crucial one. So yeah, very exciting month up top of the table.

So was a race for survival: Everton survived in very exciting fashion in 3-2 win over Crystal Palace, same can be said for Leeds in the last match day. Burnley went down. For their fans it’s very sad day. In the middle of the table – few clubs had very nice ending to the season. Brighton especially, who managed to win 3 out of 4 games that month (and highlight was 4-0 win over Manchester United). Leicester finished strong too with 3 wins in 4 games. Overall Premier League season was very exciting, probably one of the better ones recently, when you didn’t know who will go down, who will get top 4 or win a championship until the last day.

Now let’s move to candidates. From least likeliest to most likeliest one in order.

I’ll start with Pascal Gros from Brighton. As I’ve said – Brighton had very good ending to a season with 3 wins in the last 4 games and Gros was amazing in 2 of them. He managed to score vs Manchester United in 4-0 win and got himself a goal and assist in 3-1 win over West Ham. Overall, he got all his goals that he scored in whole season in this month. He’s considered legend of Brighton already, having played there for like 6 years or more? I may be wrong here. If he wins POTM – he should be 84 rated card and it would be fodder at best. Shouldn’t be worth more than 10k, but good thing that there are better candidates and he probably won’t win an award.

Next up I have Joel Matip from Liverpool. Tall defender had a very successful season, probably his best so far, he managed to play 31 games this season and this month he scored 2 crucial goals for Liverpool: 1 in 2-1 win over Southampton and 1 in 2-1 win over Aston Villa. He also managed to get an assist vs Wolverhampton in 3-1 win. That’s 3 contributions, half of his season in 1 month. He didn’t play vs Spurs, so he only played 3 games, but that should be enough for nominee. He already won 1 POTM award and 2nd one won’t surprise me. It’s rare sight when CB wins POTM, but as I’ve said – Joel already won one time this year, so maybe he’ll do a double. He’d be 88 card with some meh stats, so he’d be fodder at max and shouldn’t cost more than 24k.

Before we move to big 3 candidates – I should mention Raheem Sterling who had good ending to a season. He managed to get 3 goals and 2 assists, he scored 2 vs Newcastle, got goal and assist vs Wolves and managed to get 1st assist in crucial comeback vs Villa. Good month for Raheem, he got many special cards this year, so maybe he’ll get 2nd POTM. It’d be 93 rated card and would cost quite alright price I think. I’d predict 100k, as he’ll probably be usable, but not by many, as a lot of people moved towards TOTS cards already.

Now, big 3.

First one is James Maddison. Madders had a fantastic finish to a season. He got 4 goals and 3 assists in May: 1 goal in 3-0 win over Leicester, 1 goal and 2 assists vs Watford, 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Chelsea, 1 goal and 1 assist vs Southampton. Leicester smashed this month, maybe a bit too late, but they still finished 8th, right after big 7. So still, not that awful of a season, but could’ve been much better. Maddison had the best season so far and if he wins POTM – he’d be 88 rated card and would worth around 25k or so. He shouldn’t worth more, as he’s fodder.

Heung-Min Son had also a fantastic end to a season with 6 goals and 1 assist. Sonny came in clutch with 2 goals and 1 assist vs Leicester, 1 goal vs Liverpool, 1 goal in 3-0 win over Arsenal, and 2 goals in 5-0 win vs Norwich. He won golden boot and 0 his goals were from Pen spot. So he had best season by Asian player in history of Prem and he can easily win this POTM. If he wins – he’d be 92 rated card and would worth around 180k. His IF still worth 140k, despite everything, so his POTM would be very good card.

And last, but not least. My favorite Kevin De Bruyne. KDB came in CLUTCH for City in May. He smashed this month. Assist vs Newcastle. 4 goals vs Wolves. Title winning assist vs Aston Villa. If not him – City probably not winning a title. What a season for ginger from Belgium. Overall he managed to get 15 goals and 8 assists this season and he was named POTM by EA (not yet by PFA). So yeah, if KDB wins POTM – he’d be 95 rated card, just 1 rating behind his TOTS (upgrade his TOTSTOTY, he should be at least 97, lads). And would worth around… 150k? I don’t know. His IF worth 100k, so his 95 should be just a bit better.

What a season, fellas. What a month. We had a blast, I had a blast, let’s hope we’ll get one last POTM and it should be very good. I hope for KDB, but won’t be surprised if there’s Son with award. Both would be deserved. Heck, even Madders and Matip would be deserved. A lot of people had very good month, so let’s see who will win an award.
