FIFA 22: Player of the Month Predictions - Serie A POTM October
Hello and welcome to our predictions for Serie A POTM for October.
I still don’t know how they choose nominees, but at least I got Koulibaly right last month. Actually funny, because I included him last minute. Overall I had 6 nominees last month, but I think I’ll lower it to 3 per month, as it’s a bit useless to have 6, due to us not even seeing nominees.
So, overall this month was fine: Napoli and Milan still crushed it, like before, they are still sitting on top with 9 wins and 1 draw in 10 games, so race for a title will be interesting. There’s also Inter, 5 points behind them, but finding their ground with new manager. Atalanta 4th, usual suspect in battle for UCL and LazioRoma just behind them. I think there should be one more club, but… Okay, stop joking. Juve are in the mid table right now, mostly due to 2 losses in a week to Sassuolo and Hellas Verona.
Well, speaking about POTMs. There are 3 main nominees, 3 strikers.
We’re starting with Ciro Immobile from Lazio (aka Latium). Lazio had very mixed month: win vs Inter at home, loss to Hellas Verona away from home 4-1, win vs strong Fiorentina at home and draw to Atalanta away from home. So yeah, mixed month, as I’ve said, but Ciro scored in 3 out of 4 games. He just didn’t score vs Fiorentina, but in every other game he contributed to final result. I think Ciro is really popular this FUT due to him being really useful in game, his RTTK card costs a bit. They haven’t guaranteed themselves a spot in knockout round of UEL yet, so we don’t know if it’ll get upgraded or not (I doubt that they’ll get 3 wins in 3 games too). So POTM might be a good option. I’d say it will worth around 200k, if we’re looking at RTTK card and would be 89 rated one (87 base to 88 to 89 rating). Would be nice option for your Serie A squads with some nice links (Hello, PolitanoEl Shaarawy).

Next up I have Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina. Serbian is one of the hottest talents in the world right now and a lot of people are rumored to go for him, especially Spurs after appoiting Conte. Dusan had one impressive month: assist in 1-2 loss to Napoli, goal in 3-0 win over Cagliari and 3 goals in 3-0 win over Spezia. Overall it’s 4 goals and 1 assist in 5 games, which are good numbers for Serie A this month (honestly, not a lot of people performed even on that level). Vlahovic should get an IF, as I’m writing this before TOTW announced (might even get Featured TOTW, so his potential POTM would be 1 rating higher). So yeah, his POTM either will be 86 or 87 (78 base to 8284 TOTWFeatured TOTW to 8486 to 8687). And would be quite cheap too, due to him being really average and having meh (?) links. I’d say he’s worth around 60k, maybe less in current state of market.

And the main man of the month, nearly guaranteed POTM: Giovanni Simeone. Son of Diego Simeone (manager of Atletico Madrid, just FYI). Giovanni had a month of his life: 1 goal and 1 assist vs Spezia, 4 goals vs Lazio and 2 goals vs Juventus. That’s 7 goals and 1 assist in 5 games and that’s probably guaranteed POTM. He already had a featured card in FUT with 84 rating, so his TOTW would 87 rated one. It should be an alright option for a squad. Overall, Verona playing one of the most interesting style of footballs in the league. I overall love Serie A and their high scoring games, it’s funny how league evolved from the most defensive one to highest scoring top league out there (I think it even exceeded Bundesliga and I thought Bundesliga Saturdays are undefeated). So yeah, if you’re looking to get into Serie A and not watch just casual top games – I recommend you Hellas Verona or Sassuolo. Fun and exciting teams. Back to POTM: Simeone would cost around 50k in this market and should’t be more. He’s cheap, but useful. 33 is a bit of a problem, but still he’s rather fun card with nice stats to have.
