Hello and Welcome to February POTM Predictions for Serie A. Compared to previous ones – there aren’t a lot of favorites.

Very tough month to make POTM predictions for. A lot of teams decided just not to win games. Even league leaders decided to draw and lose, draw and draw games. For example Napoli went unbeaten but won only 2 out of 4 games, Milan – same, Inter didn’t win a single game. I guess… I can’t even name a team with the best record.

Okay, let’s start it with Cagliari. Surprise of the month. They were deep in relegation zone before February and now are 3 points safe. They won 2 games, drew 2 games, went unbeaten – Walter Mazzari really made a turning point of their season and they actually might survive. Leader of the month was by far Gaston Pereiro. HE made a difference with 3 goals to his name, he scored 2 goals vs Atalanta in crucial win (2-1) and scored a goal in 1-1 draw vs Napoli. Anyone remember his FUT 18 cards in PSV, where he got 3 IFs in a season? This month he can get 84 rated card and it can be worth around 20k. I don’t think it’ll be popular SBC by any means, because there are a lot of options for CAMs in Serie A, but maybe someone will complete him to have fun.

Hellas Verona had a good month with 1 loss, 2 wins and 1 draw. A lot of players had decent result from Verona: Caprari had good month with 2 goals and 1 assist, Simeone scored 3 goals in 1 game, but my pick is Adrien Tameze with 2 goals and 1 assist. Tameze been really good this season and been consistent too. This month was the best for him and his potential POTM would be decent too. It’d be 84 rated CDM with some nice stats, but still would be behind the meta (as the most POTMs overall). I expect around 20k for him, so yeah. But still decent stats for CDM. In one word: Decent.

And the last, but not least, main option: Mattia Zaccagni from Lazio. He’s actually a loanee from Hellas Verona, so technically speaking – another Hellas player. 2 goals and 2 assists over 4 games is a good result. He scored 2 goals vs Bologna in a 3-0 win, 1 assist in 3-0 win over Fiorentina and 1 assist in 1-1 draw vs Udineze. He potentially will get nice card with 87 rating and would cost 45k or so. Maybe a bit more due to fodder being pretty expensive right now. Still – problem with POTMs that they are a bit behind power curve in 99% cases. In my opinion they need to do some random upgrades for them like they did with HL and TOTGS – make, for example Zaccagni 91 rated POTM winner – he’d get used and would see some completion. Make Tameze club 80 or something. Etc.

Because for example – Leao might win POTM. He was good for Milan and he’s quality player. Due to his HL being already higher than his potential POTM – he’d be useless. His HL is 87, but his POTM would be 86. So yeah, if he wins – he’d cost around 50k. Again – another useless card. Maybe it’s cool for First Owner, but in game terms – it’s not that awesome. Even last month: Raspadori got 83 POTM and few days later his FS came out being 87 rated. His Future Stars is cheap already and his POTM basically useless for non first owners. Just make his POTM 88 or something like that. For bigger cards – keep an upgrade way that it is (with +1 on the rating), but for lower rated cards – create some mad boosts.

Sorry for ranting here a bit. Just giving some my thoughts about POTMs.

Let’s hope it’ll be Leao, as he’s quite useable card this year and he is popular IRL. He scored only 2 goals, but got stuff done in a cup (I know that it doesn’t matter). He just won 2nd POTM in a row for Milan and I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins in FUT.

Who’d you like to win a POTM and give me your thoughts about POTMs, if you’re interested in it.
