FIFA 22 Player of the Month Predictions: Premier League September POTM
I’m ready to wake you all up, because September is over and I can show you predictions of Premier League POTM for this month.
Probably 2nd POTM in FUT, if they’ll release Antonio (when I’m writing this article, he’s still in GULAG). Let’s see what I have this month in my sleeves.
One of the hardest months to choose POTM for. Never seen THIS average month for Premier League POTM.
No one was exceptional and anyone can get this award. I’ve found 6 candidates, but to be fair – you could find 12 and still wouldn’t find a favorite.
Let’s start from the bottom of my ratings and move to top. First up is Arsenal defender. Honestly you could choose anyone: White, Gabriel, even Ramsdale had good month. Arsenal won 3 out of 3 games, but I’ve chosen their latest signing: Tomiyashi. He had the most impact in my eyes. He came to the team and played 3 great games at RB and people felt in love with him. Sadly his FUT card wouldn’t be really good and it’d be 84 rated RB with some average pace stats for RB. I guess he’d worth around 30k, maybe more due to it being PL and Arsenal tax.
Next player – Leonardo Trossard from amazing Brighton who’s not losing an xG game this season so far. Trossard scored 2 goals and still have 1 game in hand, while I’m typing this article down, so he can either improve his average score or make it worse. We’ll see. Again – Brighton had a good month so far. Trossard would actually be a nice card at the start of the game. I’d love to see him get him a nice, 84 rated card with some good stats. He’d worth around…100k I guess? Good league, decent nation, good stats.
Joao Cancelo is my pick from good month of Manchester City. City didn’t score loads of goals in Premier League, but their game and defense were solid enough. Cancelo and City got 3 clean sheets in 3 games: vs Leicester, Chelsea and Southampton. Also Cancelo got 1 assist vs Chelsea and IMO he deserves a nominee. If he wins POTM somehow – he’ll get some insane card for a starting time of FUT. 88 rated POTM and probably best RB in game for a long time (unless Hakimi gets 2 IFs). His NIF costs right now around 35k, so I expect his POTM to be 300k+. Good nation, links, stats. Probably would be completed by a lot of people. Tips for investments? Some IFs from PL (like Thiago Silva), higher rated fodder, which is cheap right now and some higher rated City players that not going for a lot (Laporte, Dias, etc).
Now we move to big 3, that in my opinion has the biggest chance of winning an award.
Ivan Toney is one of those players. He got 2 goals and 1 assist, and it’s probably not too much, but overall Brentford impressed people and got good results. 2 goals vs Wolves, 1 assist vs Liverpool. He already got a Featured TOTW, that feels like fast POTM, but if he gets POTM – his SBC would be 87 rated card. It’s good, but still has same problems: 3* skills, 3* WF. I see people liking his Featured TOTW, but not sure about POTM. His 84 worth 20k, but I think POTM would be around 100–120k in my opinion. Wouldn’t require much, but most likely few high rated squads and that’s all.
Chances of POTM: 20%
Next up is Mohamed Salah. Overall Egyptian performed well for Liverpool. 3 goals in 3 games, 2 wins, 1 draw. Good month, could’ve been a lot better. He missed a lot of chances and if he’d score at least 1 more vs Brentford in 3-3 draw – he would be my favorite. 3 goals should be enough for nominee and if he wins – he’d be 91 rated card. I think it’d be one of the most expensive POTMs at the start of FUT. His 90 IF is already 450k-560k+ and his POTM would worth around…700–800k? I doubt that many people would be able to pay that much in 1st month of FUT, so if he wins – they may require a bit less. Still would be too much and I expect Salah to get a lot of IFs this year, so completing POTM would be useless. Of course – Fodder and high rated cardsIFs are the best investment for his potential POTM.
Chances of POTM: 20%
And last one. Talk about expensive POTMs. Cristiano Ronaldo came back to Manchester United and scored 3 goals in 3 games. 2 goals vs Newcastle, 1 goal vs West Ham and nothing (should’ve been a penalty goal for him) vs Aston Villa. Could get nominated, but not sure about winning whole thing. I can imagine him snapping an award, but that would be some insane October POTM. He’d cost… 2 mill? Or what? I honestly can’t predict what will happen, but it’s going to be interesting to see what EA will decide if he wins. I can’t even recommend investing in his POTM – it’s literally impossible to predict his price. His NIF – 1.3-1.5 depending on consoles. His POTM will be around 2 mill for sure.
Chances of POTM: 20%
I can’t predict a winner. I think it’ll be Salah. I’d prefer Cancelo, but I think it’ll be between SalahToney and CR7. First time in a long time I’m in position that I can’t even predict a top 2 for award. Feels like everyone performed on the same good level.
Give me your thoughts on this POTM in replies, would love to read them!
