FIFA 22: Player of the Month Predictions - Ligue 1 March POTM
Hello and welcome to Ligue 1 POTM Predictions for March. This month was kinda one-sided, but I still managed to found few candidates from different teams and we’re ready to roll.
By far the best month in League had Rennes – 3 wins out of 3 games and by far the best football in the league. I’ll get back to them later, but they should have maybe 2 nominees and clear winner too.
Apart from Rennes – Marseille was really decent too. They won 23 games, but sadly lost an important game vs Monaco 1-0. To me – their best player this month was Arkadiusz Milik – he scored 2 goals and assisted 1 time in 3 games. He scored a winner vs Nice in important game between 2nd and 3rd teams and scored and assisted vs Brest. Milik having decent season for Marseille with ups and downs. Overall his card not really good, and his POTM would be 87 rated one. It’ll be really cheap one, and it’ll be a decent fodder for future SBCs and TOTS soon.
I didn’t include in main predictions player from Nice, but they had decent month before last game. Even last game wasn’t that bad vs Marseille. If I had to choose one player – it’d be Walter Benitez. He kept 2 cs in 3 games, one of which was a game vs PSG and 2nd one was game vs Montpellier. In both games he was named MOTM and overall Benitez having a very good season. His potential POTM would be 87 rated and would cost around 20k, as it’d be another – 87 rated fodder POTM.
Let’s get back to main options. Lille had a good month too with 1 draw and 2 wins. They are back in contention for Champion League spot and it’ll be really fun end to the season. Currently Lille are 4 points behind 4th spot and can challenge Nice for that spot. Best player from Lille who played this month was Zeki Celik in my opinion. In 2 games he managed to score and assist in a game vs Clermont and kept a CS and was named MOTM in 0-0 draw vs Saint-Etienne. Zeki didn’t have a special card this season yet, so his POTM would be 84 rated and would be really cheap one. Not many people would be interested in that card, as there are a lot of alternatives: Hakimi, Traore and of course Clauss with Atal. I’d say 10k for him at max.
And last, but not least, we’re moving to the best team in League in March: Rennes. They won all 3 games with results like: 6-1, 4-2 and 2-0. They were unstoppable and looking really solid for 2nd place finish. They still have to play few important games, like vs Nice, but still. First option from Rennes, who can be included as POTM nominee: Martin Terrier who scored 3 goals in 3 games and was very good. He’s having great season with 16 goals to his name. His potential card would be also 87 rated, like most of Previous POTMS in this article. But main candidate is Benjamin Bourigeaud. He scored 2 goals and assisted 4 goals in this month and looking incredible over past few month. He’s having also an amazing season with 6 goals and 10 assists. Benjamin got already 2 Ifs and his POTM will be… you guessed it right – 87 one. But it’s a good POTM, as his potential TOTS will be even better. Still very cheap, as not many people would be interested in this card.
So, yeah. Clear winner in my eyes – Bourigeaud should easily win it and completely deserved one. Best player this month. I can’t imagine if we’ll get any other player as POTM winner. If I missed any other candidate – let me know in replies, but overall I checked most of teams and players.
