FIFA 22: Player of the Month Predictions - La Liga March POTM
Hello and Welcome to March POTM Predictions for La Liga. Last month I got it right, finally, after La Liga struggles – I got article in time and it was actually decent one in terms of nominees. I even predicted actual winner in a face of Courtois, which made me really happy, let’s hope I’ll be able to get it right this month again too and get this article out before actual release of voting and get at least few nominees corrected.
Another month with not a lot of games, month ended earlier due to International Break and there were only 3 games for most teams, that’s why I struggled a bit with few nominees. 3 players stood out to me, while other 3 were a bit random choices, but for I’ve chosen them for a good reason! Let’s see how I’ll do and let’s get ready for r-r-r-r-umble.
We’re starting with Osasuna player due to them winning 2 games out of 3 and winning vs Villarreal, which is a big result for them. Before this month I actually could imagine that Osasuna had a chance of relegation, but with 2 crucial wins they are completely safe and now midtable. Player I’ve chosen is: Chimy Avila. Recently he got FB card, and a lot of players enjoyed it, but not many were willing to spend 17 tokens on him. He’s an Osasuna hero and had an incredible season 2 years ago. Then injury happened, but now he’s well and truly back. 2 goals in 2 wins and solid overall rating earn him this nominee. If he wins – he’ll be 84 rated card with some decent stats, but sub at max (or option for Swaps). He’d be worth 15k at max.
Next player is David Soria from Getafe. Getafe still in relegation battle and they didn’t have the best ever month, they only got 2 points from 3 games (basically drew 2 out of 3 games). But David Soria was a stand out for me and because of him they earned those 2 crucial points. Without those points – they would be 1 point from relegation. Now at least there’s some sort of a gap. He kept a clean sheet vs Valencia and was named MOTM vs Athletic, where he saved 10 shots on target. If Soria wins – he’ll be either 86 or 87 (depends if he’ll get an IF for that game vs Athletic). And would be worth around 20k for his SBC. Boring, if you’ll ask me, because we just got Courtois POTM.
Next one I have is Carlos Soler from Valencia. Valencia had great month, if we look at whole season, with 2 wins and 1 draw. Soler was crucial in those wins: he scored 1 goal and got 2 assists vs Granada and got a winning assist vs Elche. He had somewhat quiet game vs Getafe, but still should be enough for his nomination, in my opinion. Soler would get 87 rated card and would worth around 40–50k in my opinion. Very solid card for swaps, or just some fun. He’s alright in game and should get cool TOTS too.
We’re moving to big trio. First one would be Joao Felix. Atletico been in great form lately: 3 games – 3 wins, they won 5 out 5 games in League and looking solid for 4th spot in La Liga, after Betis had an awful month. Felix scored 3 goals and got 1 assist in those wins and actually having very good last few month with 4 goals and 3 assists. Felix is rather popular player in FUT and he, if he wins, will get 87 card, similar to his last year POTM and would be nice, but not as good as last year, as it’s already end of March. He would be worth around 120k or so, I think so. Maybe a bit more or less, can’t price him well, as his UCL card is 20k, while his 89 Adidas card is 400k+. Something in between.
Next one is Karim Benzema. Despite not him playing in El Clasico (it’s better to forget this game for Real Madrid fans). Benzema carried Real Madrid in March with 3 goals and 1 assist in 2 games. He might not win it, but for sure should be nominated. Benz having incredible year with 22 goals and 11 assists in La Liga (actually insane numbers, for real). Yes, 2 out of 3 goals were pens, but still you gotta put some respect on his name. Yeah, I don’t count his UCL performance to this, but still in my mind I think they’ll consider it. Benz would be 93 rated card with some meh stats (trust me his TOTS will be good), but will be worth around… 150k? Or a bit more? I think he’s a fodder, but for Real Madrid fans he’s more than useful!
And last, but not least. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Aubama who? Aubama what? Aubama POTM Nominee. Auba came, Auba saw, Auba conquered. 3 goals and 1 assist in 3 games and his best performance was in El Classico. Stars aligned. Auba also scored 1 goal in 4-0 win over Osasuna and he should get a damn nice POTM. I think that card will remind you from his Moments cards, but would be actually cheaper. He should be 89 rated (if he gets SIF, or 88 if he doesn’t). Ferran Torres is possible nominee with 4 goals and 1 assist, but to me Auba was a bit more crucial and lethal. Ferran would be 87 rated and would worth around 150k.
I think POTM is up for grabs this month and we have 4 very good nominees. I might have missed someone from Espanyol, like Sergi Darder, but it’s a bit irrelevant. AubaFerran are my favorites and also BenzemaFelix are favorites, but not as big as duo from Barcelona. Who would be your winner, if you had to choose one?
