FIFA 22: Player of the Month Predictions - Bundesliga December POTM
Hello and Welcome to last POTM Predictions in 2021 for Bundesliga. Month was hard, but there were some really good contestants, and I had fun writing this article and selecting players. Okayyyy let’s goooo.
Overall, this month was successful for a lot of teams, for example: Hoffenheim and Bayern went unbeaten. Frankfurt lost only 1 game and Koln too. For some teams it was a month of ups and downs: BVB started this month with a loss to Bayern, then drew to Bochum, then won vs Furth and lost to Hertha out of all teams. Leverkusen also had only 1 win this month, Leipzig – too. A lot of good and successful clubs suffered this month.
We’re starting our predictions with Anthony Modeste from Koln. As I’ve said – Koln had a very good month and only 3 points away from European spot. They only lost to Augsburg with sensational strike of Dorsch. So yeah, Modeste played well in 2 out of 4 games and scored 3 goals in those 2 games, he scored 2 vs Wolfsburg in mad 3-2 game and scored last minute winner vs Stuttgart. Sadly, Modeste in FUT is not the same beast he was in FUT 17, where he was getting IFs left right and center and had one of favorite dynamic images ever. This year his NIF is 72 rated, so if he wins – his POTM would be 82 rated, as he’ll go 72>79>82. If he gets IF before that – then 84. Would be cheap and not really usable. I’d say around 20k, at max.
Next one I have is Jesper Lindstrom from Eintracht. They won 6 out of 7 latest games, this month they won 34 and lost 3-2 in a very fun game against Hoffenheim. Lindstrom is a surprise to me and how he performed last few weeks. He managed to get a goal or assist in every game of the month: 1 goal in 1-0 win over Mainz, 1 goal and 1 assist in 3-2 win over Monchengladbach, 1 goal in 5-2 win over Bayer 04 and 1 assist in 3-2 loss to Hoffenheim. Overall, Eintracht had a lot of options for POTM, but I went with most consistent in my eyes. If he wins POTM – same situation as Modeste: 72>79>82. Some really average stats, so wouldn’t say that he’s worth more than 20k at all. Fun card for collection, but that’s all.
Next one is Hoffenheim player. Couldn’t find player who performed in every single game, like Bebou in 1, Rutter in other, Akpo in 3rd. So I went with David Raum. Left back is playing sensationally well for Hoffie this season and this month was one of his best. He finished November with 2 assists in 6-3 win over Furth, but started this month with 1 goal and 1 assist vs Freiburg and got IF in FUT for that game. In other games he was consistent and was getting high enough match ratings to get him in my POTM predictions. If he’ll win POTM – he’d be 84 rated card and another German LB, especially when we’re getting Gunter – so not many people will be interested, but still a very fun and good card, that shouldn’t be worth more than 30k.
Then, I move to Bayern. They had a very good month with 4 wins out of 4 games and 2 players stood out for me. Well, 3, but I included 2. One I excluded is Serge Gnabry – despite him getting 3 goals and 3 assists, 5 of those 6 contributions he managed in 1 game and got 1 more assist vs Wolfsburg. That’s all. Doubt that he’ll have a shot at winning an award. If he wins – he’d be 89 rated card with some sick stats and would cost like 250k, I think.
So I move to 2 most consistent Bayern players: Thomassist Muller and Robert Lewangoalski.
Muller got himself 1 goal and 3 assists in those 4 games: 1 goal and 1 assist vs Wolfsburg, 1 assist in 5-0 win over Stuttgart, 1 assist vs BVB in 3-2 win. Those were his numbers and of course Muller played every game at high level. He’s getting older and older, but like a fine wine he’s getting better and better. Most under-rated footballer by a lot of people, he haven’t won POTM award yet in Bundesliga (In FUT History), even tho I nominate him very often. Because he’s just so very consistent. If he wins – his POTM would be 89 rated and would worth around 70k, not more I think, because no one uses Muller in game. His card is weird and overall it doesn’t fit meta, but I can’t exclude him just because of that. You can always vote for someone else!
As I’ve mentioned before, his partner in crime – Robert Lewandowski. I thought Lewa had pretty quiet month, but then I looked at his numbers and thought: Ahh, that were my expectations speaking. He got 5 goals in 4 games: 1 goal vs Wolfsburg, 2 vs Stuttgart, 2 vs BVB. He still doesn’t have an IF in FUT, despite him having TOTGS. And it’s where fun begins. IF he wins an award – he’ll be also 93 rated, same exactly as his TOTGS, so it’ll be kinda useless card. I expect it to be around 180k and that’s it. Shouldn’t be more.
And the last one, favorite in my book – Patrick Schick. Czech taking league in his 2nd season in B04 shirt by a storm. He got 8 goals in 4 games and 1 assist. One of the best numbers I’ve seen in space of 4 games. 4 goals vs Furth, 2 goals vs Frankfurt in 5-2 loss, 2 goals in 2-2 draw vs Hoffie and he didn’t do anything vs Freiburg, so it’s like 9 contributions in 3 games. Insane. Of course he should win POTM, there’s no one close to him, not even Lewa. I’d say his chances are higher than 90% and his POTM would be 86 card that would worth around 80k. OR maybe a bit less, as it’ll be a fodder for most of people. Even tho – he’ll have some nice links to fit him in a team. So he won’t be completely useless.
Summary: Of course it should be Schick. But if not – Lewa, or some other Bayern player. Despite Schick insane record – club still lost 2 out of 4 games and drew another one, so it may affect his chances. Or not. We’ll see. But I’ll vote for most deserving player.
