FIFA 22: Marquee Matchup Predictions 9th of December
Hello and welcome to another Marquee Matchup predictions. Last week we got very bad 24 result, after few weeks I felt disappointed and it’s time for some retribution. This week sounds promising, as there 6 nice games in every league. There are some derbies, some games up top and some interesting inclusions without any background really.
Let’s do this, hopefully we’ll get more than 2 this week.
Liverpool vs Aston Villa Chelsea vs Leeds
2 decent games in Premier League. 1st game is more of a meme choice, due to history of recent meetings. 7-2, etc, yeah yeah, Liverpool still remembers that. And also, Aston Villa now appointed Steven Gerrard as a manager, familiar name to some Liverpool fans. Can be a very decent game too.
2nd one is an old rivalry before most of you were even born, so idk if EA will choose it. Overall choices in Prem aren’t the best and I’d say it’ll be a weekend without PL game, for a change, but let’s see.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid
Clear and only choice for La Liga game: Madrid derby. This is very exciting game, if Real will win – they’ll be so far ahead of Atletico and everyone else, it’ll be really looking like they run away with a title. But it’s possible that burnout might catch up to them and injuries might happen. Carlo built a very well oiled machine, while others struggle and it reminds me of last season, where Atletico were winning the league by December, but then we got exciting title race. This season for Atletico going strangely, sometimes they get decent results and it still managed to get out of UCL group, but sometimes they do random loss that no one can explain. Game at Bernabeu will be nice and exciting so can’t wait for that.

PSG vs Monaco
There are 2 great games in Ligue 1 over the weekend, but I’m choosing PSG vs Monaco as it seems like very safe option. Monaco this season not playing as well as last year and often lose points, but they still have their own style, unlke PSG so far. PSG are still winning games, and far ahead of everyone in the table, but how they perform in game and side reactions from neutral spectators. PSG sit 1st in the table and have a big gap ahead of 2nd place. Monaco placed in the middle of the table and sometimes they play really good and sometimes really bad. Similar to PSG in that sense, but PSG at least inning their games where they play badly.

Genoa vs Sampdoria
It’s a derby of 2 clubs, 2 clubs that struggle recent, I remember when Sampdoria were playing fun. It’s still possible, they haven some very good options and Antonio Candreva leading them. While Genoa are a bit screwed, they are one of the teams in relegation zone. They just changed the manager to Andriy Shevchenko, Serie A legend, who did a good job at Ukraine national team. So far he didn’t win any games, but to be fair to him and Genoa – they had very tough opponents. This is a real possibility for them to earn much needed points.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayer Leverkusen Hoffenheim vs Freiburg
Sounds like 2 very exciting games. 1st one – I expect a goal fest between two attacking and fun teams to watch. Frankfurt slowly climbing up in table, and they had a good run of 3 out of 3 wins, but they lost in the last match day. Bayer still near the top of table, they aren’t challenging for a title, just because they are Neverkusen, but this year might be the one where they get into UCL once again.
2nd game is some sort of Derby, Baden derby between 2 teams that apparently became relevant this year. Nah, I’m trolling. Freiburg had a very good start of the season but then lost 3 in a row and then won 6-0 vs Borussia Monchengladbach somehow. Hoffie had a slow start but risen up in table to 4th spot and challenging UCL spot for the next year. Their attack is exciting, and trio of Bebou-Kramaric-Rutter play very well. We might see some very interesting game right here.

And the last game that is possible to be in MMs – game from Liga NOS between Porto and Braga. Porto fighting for title with Benfica and Sporting, Braga sitting 4th. Situation is usual, but it’s possible that we’ll have a very good game on our hands.
What to invest in: As per usual – get 1-2 player from each team or just league and you’ll be safe. Requirements are quite easy so far, so I don’t expect anything exceptional.
