FIFA 22 Marquee Matchup Predictions: 30th of September
Hello and welcome to week 2 of Marquee Matchup Predictions of FUT 22.
Last week we managed to get 34 and I missed 1 MLS game, unfortunately. Didn’t even check that league, because was stubborn and sure about big leagues having enough games.
This week is the same, I’m including mostly Top-5 leagues, there’re a lot of interesting games and it should be a very exciting weekend.
Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona
We’re starting with La Liga game of the weekend. Atletico recently struggled in their games and even lost 1-0 to last place Alaves last weekend, so it’ll be interesting to see how they come back and approach this game. There’s a lot to say about Barcelona’s season and I don’t think this article would suit it, but at the moment club is struggling. Only bright spots are youngsters, who are playing well. Fati is back too, so we can expect some magic from him and youngsters. I think it should be a really close game, despite teams are being in different struggles.
Torino vs Juventus Fiorentina vs Napoli
Torino derby in Serie A. Juve recently started winning games, compared to the start of the year, but not as convincing as they probably hoped for. 2 wins with 3-2 score and a lot of conceded goals this season. Torino playing under new manager this season too and getting used to his tactics too. They are in the middle of the pack, but I’m sure they’ll approach game vs Juventus at their best level.
2nd game of the weekend that I’ve chosen is Fiorentina challenging Napoli. Fiorentina this season looking much better than the last one and not losing a lot of games. They are right now in the top half of the table and I think they’ll aim at European spot at the end of the season. Napoli currently won 6 games out of 6 and looking like the best team in Serie A (maybe even by far). They are winning and playing really attractive football under Spaletti and they are looking at first Napoli win in Serie A in 30+ years (IIRC). Game vs Fiorentina should be good test for this side.
Liverpool vs Manchester City
Game of the weekend, maybe game of the month in Premier League right at the start of October. Teams are separated by 1 point, Liverpool didn’t lose a game yet, but drew last weekend to Brentford. City just won a game vs Chelsea and looking solid as usual. Game will be ultra-close and I can’t predict a winner. Of course, home crowd helps Liverpool, so we should see a very exciting game anyway. Don’t miss it, it should be an insane viewing.
Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt
This season Eintracht hasn’t won a game yet under new manager, but they aren’t losing them either. They are just drawing every game. Bayern is a well-oiled machine under Nagelsmann. They are scoring for fun and it seems like they aren’t stopping soon. Recently Eintracht been evil-geniuses of Bayern, even last season they won vs them, but can’t see the repeat of last year’s result.
Saint-Etienne vs Lyon
It’s a big rivalry in France. A lot of things happened in games between those 2 teams. Last memorable thing: when Fekir scored a winner and took his shirt out and showed Saint-Etienne fans it (Messi style). Games between these 2 teams are always interesting to watch, no matter the difference in squads of those teams. Saint-Etienne had a very hard last month and their schedule is just cruel: Marseille, Monaco, Nice and now Lyon. They had a very bad start to the season with only 3 points in 8 games. Lyon under Peter Bosz are fun team. Recently they had better results (apart from PSG game, and even in it they looked good), so they are very exciting team to watch. Of course, I think Lyon will win, but they are playing away, so some magic result can happen.
There are games in other leagues too, but I couldn’t find anything “Marquee” enough to rival games that I included.
We’ll see what happens.
Best tips for investments at the moment: They don’t require a lot of unusual things, just buy 1-2 player from each team for 400-600 coins and you should be safe for now. We’ll see when they’ll change approach for requirements.
