FIFA 22: Marquee Matchup Predictions 30th of December
Hello and welcome to Marquee Matchup predictions for another week of FUT.
Last week we got 34, strangely I missed Porto vs Benfica (well, I planned it for another week, as they play again soon), but still a nice result. This week is harder to predict due to less amount of games and not a lot to choose from, so we go mainly to 2 leagues and maybe cover some side missions too.
Chelsea vs Liverpool Arsenal vs Manchester City
2 bangers in Premier League. Top 4 teams play against each other. Yes, Arsenal is currently top 4 side, they had a very good run of games and sit 4th comfortably, well, for a while, until Spurs will play their delayed games. City is in amazing form and I doubt that Arteta and Arsenal can stop them, but still should be a nice showcase of Arsenal power and their level. City playing some amazing football and looking like they’ll win this year’s season too.
Other game is between 2nd and 3rd teams in Premier League. Liverpool sit at 2nd and have their eyes on title too, like City, while Chelsea chasing both teams. This is perfect opportunity for Chelsea to catch up to Liverpool or for Liverpool leave Chelsea behind serious amount of points. Both games are must watch.
There are some other games, but I doubt that they’ll be excluded.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per team
-Team overall 77-79+
-Overall Chemistry 80+
-At least 3 rares
-Max players per league: 4
Valencia vs Espanyol Betis vs Celta Atletico Madrid vs Rayo
I’ve chosen 3 games from La Liga, but I dunno how many games will be in MMs, I think 1 is maximum. Let’s cover each game. Valencia vs Espanyol seems like a midtable fixture. Valencia haven’t lost in 5 games, winning last 3 games, while Espanyol started season well and now sit at 11th place, 5 points behind Valencia. Should be decent enough game, as Valencia one of the “fun” teams in La Liga: 30 goals scored and 26 conceded in 18 games. And Espanyol are fine too: 20-21.
2nd game is Betis vs Celta. Well, I’ve chosen this game due to Betis sitting at 3rd place and actually having a great season. Celta are 14th and I wouldn’t say that they are in terrible form (1 loss in 5 games) and Iago Aspas as per usual carrying them. This is the lowest probability game out of 3.
Last game: Atletico vs Rayo. Apart from it being Madrid derby – it’s also a game between 4th and 5th. Atletico is 5th btw. They lost 4 games in a row. Mad. Worst form with Simeone in charge. I’m sure they’ll turn it around, but Rayo is actually fine team this season and they are 1 point ahead of 5th place. Should be very interesting and close game to watch.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per teamleague
-Team overall 76-78+
-Overall Chemistry 80+
-Max players per nation: 3
Celtic vs Rangers
It’s not a start of New Year without Celtic vs Rangers. One of the most famous games in the world should be played on 2nd of Jan. But looking at schedule – it’s mentioned as canceled (due to COVID, I guess?). But I still think it’ll be included. They are separated by 6 points and Rangers are on a win-streak. Still, if Celtic wins this game, they can come close to Rangers, while if Rangers win it – gap will be 9 points and it’s too much for this league. As I’ve said – it should be included, despite it may be canceled.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per teamleague
-Team overall 66-72+
-Overall Chemistry 80+
-Max players per nation: 3
Juventus vs Napoli
Game in Serie A. It’ll be played on Thursday (6th of January). I had it at first in the next week MMs, but it can be featured this week too. It’s up to EA to choose. Well, teams are separated by 4 points, Napoli in terrible form, while Juve in good form, but we’ll never know what will happen in New Year. Maybe Napoli will win a game vs Juve again, like they did this season already. Very exciting fixture.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per clubleague
-Team overall 76-78+
-Overall Chemistry 80+
-Max players per nation: 3
What to invest in: As per usual – get 1-2 player from each team or just league and you’ll be safe. Requirements are quite easy so far, so I don’t expect anything exceptional.
