Hello and welcome to Marquee Matchup predictions for another week of FUT.

Last week we got somewhat decent result in 34 games. Another week where I don’t get 44 and it makes me sad, but it’s alright. I clearly missed that game, but I didn’t think Sporting derby would be included (as to me it’s not as big game in Liga NOS and there’re better ones). Surprisingly to me there were no PL games, especially since there was London derby. But okay, okay. We move.

It’s a bit weird week. No. It’s not “a bit”. It’s proper weird league. There are club games in 2nd tier leagues, but there are no games in big leagues. There’s International Break for American teams, but there’re no games for Europeans. I can’t remember international break like this before. Interesting to see.

A lot to play for in North America and in Latin America, so we’ll check those games out. Not live for me, as they are scheduled horribly for Europeans.

USA vs Canada Mexico vs Costa Rica

2 big games in North America qualifiers to World Cup. Literally 4 biggest teams out there, even tho Costa Rica not as good as before. But they still have Keylor Navas. 3 teams qualify straight to World Cup, 4th will be in play offs. For now: Canada 1st with 16 points, USA 2nd with 15, Mexico and Panama tied for 3rd with 14 points. This is really tight. Costa Rica 5th with 9 points and they need to win vs Mexico if they’re still dreaming about World Cup.

USA vs Canada match for 1st place. It’ll be very cool game, but Canada will be without their main star: Davies got health issues, so he’ll miss quite a lot of matches. Still I rate this Canada generation, they have a lot of good players, like Larin from Besiktas and others. USA got very young and cool generation, but in this qualifiers they already drew 3 games and lost 1, so something going not as good, or they are just saving energy.

One of these games should be included in MMs. At least 1.

Most likely requirements:

-1 player per team

-Team overall 65-74+

-Overall Chemistry 80+

-At least 3 rares

-Max players per league: 4

Argentina vs Chile Colombia vs Peru

2 great games in South America qualifiers. I didn’t include Brazil games as they are already qualified, so I decided to go with Argentina, which plays Chile and it sounds like a game from past where they battled for Copa for 2 years in a row in Finals. Situation in South America is even tighter than in North America: Brazil qualified, Argentina most likely too, Ecuador looking fine with 23 points (6 behind Argentina, but 6 ahead of next opponents), but then: Colombia – 17, Peru – 17, Chile – 16, Uruguay – 16, Bolivia – 15. Any of those 5 teams have a chance at 2 remaining WC tickets (3 if Ecuador choke hard). It’ll be sensational viewing, as there are 4 games left. Chile must win a game vs Argentina, if they don’t want to be behind their opponents.

Colombia vs Peru sounds like a banger to me too. As I’ve said – both teams on 17 points, so who wins – will be in big advantage over their opponent with few games left in qualifiers. Don’t miss the highlights of these games, if you won’t be able to watch it live.

Most likely requirements:

-1 player per teamleague

-Team overall 76-78+

-Overall Chemistry 80+

-Max players per nation: 3

Derby vs Birmingham

We’re flying to England to watch some Championship action. And honestly, I struggled with choosing a game in Championship. I went with this game because Birmingham sit at 18th place, which is safe for now, while Derby are 23rd. Derby in interesting situation. If you look at how many points they got (14) vs how many they should (they’d be around 153h place) – it’s sad story about bad owners. But Wayne Rooney doing a miracle there and there’s a legit chance at survival, if they continue like this. So that was my reasoning: battle for survival.

Most likely requirements:

-1 player per teamleague

-Team overall 65-74+

-Overall Chemistry 80+

-Max players per nation: 3

Club Brugge vs RUSG

We’re blessed with Club Brugge vs my beloved RUSG in Belgium league. 2nd vs 1st, battle of the old champs vs possible new champs. RUSG are 9 points ahead of Brugge for now and they are looking good as ever. Undav is a king, a lot of good players, like Mitoma in that club and their story is just amazing. I support RUSG. Be like RUSG.

Brugge of course would like to get their hands on title again, but it’s looking grim for now, but with Belgium system of tournament – anything can happen.

Most likely requirements:

-1 player per clubleague

-Team overall 76-78+

-Overall Chemistry 80+

-Max players per nation: 3

There are no Wild-Card choices for this week, as I’ve ran out of games to choose from. Hopefully we’ll see something like that, really. It’s really hard week to predict.

What to invest in: As per usual – get 1-2 player from each team or just league and you’ll be safe. Requirements are quite easy so far, so I don’t expect anything exceptional.
