New Month – New POTM. Let’s discuss POTM for March in Premier League.

Overall month was pretty hectic, no one won all 3 games, so it’s hard to predict main winner, but I think we’ll be able to find him soon! Let’s start.

I’m starting my article by mentioning some players who performed well, but won’t have a chance to win POTM in my opinion.

First one is Andreas Christensen. Chelsea under Tuchel have the best defense and Christensen managed to keep with Chelsea 3 CSs in 3 games. They went to Anfield, kept CS, played Leeds – kept CS and won versus Everton with CS too. Overall was pretty hard month for Chelsea, considering schedule and they did well. Christensen surprised a lot of people with his composure and reliability, so I think he deserves nomination. If he wins – he’d be 84 rated card, with some meh stats and wouldn’t cost more than 30k. At least he shouldn’t.

Next player I have is Alexander Lacazette. You may disagree with me, but I think he deserves at least honorable mention. Arsenal won versus Spurs because he scored a pen, they drew versus Burnley (not the best his game), and they drew versus West Ham after losing 3-0. Laca turned game around and even if he scored only 1 goal – he scored 2nd goal, but it counted as own goal. If he wins an award – he’d be 86 rated card, 1 higher than his Season Reward card and wouldn’t worth a lot, as his stats pretty mediocre at this stage of the game.

Luke Shaw performed great another month in a row for United. He scored an important goal versus Manchester City, kept CS versus them, versus West Ham and versus Crystal Palace too. 3 games in Prem – 3 CS. If he wins an award – he’d be 88 rated card. His SIF worth around 150k. His SBC would be around 200-250k. People love using his SIF at CB, so it’ll be another option for that.

Harry Kane. I feel like I’m nominating him every month. Well he does have 17 goals and 13 assists, maybe that a reason why I nominate him this often. This month was good one too. Perfect game against Crystal Palace with 2 goals and 2 assists and another penalty versus Aston Villa in 2-0 win. He didn’t score versus Arsenal, even tho he had his chances. As per usual:. I doubt that he’d win, but if he does – he’d get 91 rated card, which would cost around 150k. His 89 is expensive due to it being high rated fodder IF. And his Rulebreaker is more expensie due to him being faster. Simple as that.

Now let’s move to two candidates, who have the best chance in my opinion to win an award too. There’s Lingard who can get nominated, but I don’t think he’ll win it with 2 goals and 1 assist for West Ham United.

Riyad Mahrez. Another great month for Mahrez. 3 games for him with 3 goals in Prem. He didn’t play versus Fulham, he was rested, and he could’ve got more contributions, I think. He played well versus Wolves, got 1 goal, played well versus Soton and scored 2 goals. And even versus Manchester United, in a game they’ve lost – he played well, had chances, but didn’t finish them.

In terms of FUT – he’d have an either 89 rated card similar to his Headliners, or 90 rated card, 1 higher than Headliner. Overall it’d be a nice card, for those who missed on his HL one. But he’d probably be released during TOTS and he’ll get TOTS too, so if he wins – think twice before completing him.

Chances of POTM: 30%

Tips for investing:

As his previous SBC – I don’t think requirements will be much different. I don’t think he’ll cost a lot, so I don’t think you’ll need to invest into anything for him.

Worth investing? As I’ve said above – no.

Estimated cost: 180-200k. His Headliner costed around that price, so I don’t think it’ll be different. His SIF costs around 130k, so just a bit more than that in my opinion.

Kelechi Iheanacho had a very impressive month for Leicester. He scored 5 goals this month. 3 goals versus Sheffield, 1 goal versus Brighton and 1 goal versus Burnley. All goals brought Leicester points, so they weren’t useless (also how 5 goals could be useless overall, duh). So yeah, Kelechi had insane March and he should win an award in my opinion.

In terms of FUT – he’d be cheap 85 rated, maybe 86 due to possible MOTM, card. He’d be nice sub, but not much apart from that. Maybe Perfect link with Ndidi would be fun to use, but he’s behind power curve.

Chances of POTM: 40%

Tips for investing:

He’d be very cheap card, so I don’t think it’s worth investing in him. Skip this part.

Worth investing? No.

Estimated cost: 50k-60k. As it’d be 8586 rated card – I don’t think it’ll be above that price. Again, Super Sub at max, but nice fun card.

I think Mahrez or Iheanacho will win it. Both would be deserved winners, but IMO, Kelechi – would be deserved winner. Even tho, as I’ve said few times – he’s behind power curve.
