FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Premier League August POTM
Well, well, well. August is over and it’s time for POTMs. I honestly don’t know if we’ll get first POTM for FUT 22 for August or last in FUT 21, but nevertheless we should get him.
In this article we discussing first month of Premier League. It was pretty entertaining month and overall exciting month. We had a lot of top games already in August and we have some favorites for an award. But I’ll start with players who I think less likely to get POTM, but still should be nominated.
As I don’t know when we’ll get POTM SBC – I’ll be using FUT 21 ratings, so don’t be mad if you’ll think that it’ll be useless card. Yeah, I know that.
First one I have is Chelsea player. It can be Marcos Alonso or Thiago Silva. Both had very impressive month. Silva was consistent and Chelsea conceded only 1 goal in 3 games, while Alonso did the same, but also got 1 goals. If anything: Alonso would be 86 rated card either LWB or LB. Cost should be around 10k. Just to highlight a bit more: both players got 2 CS and Alonso was praised a lot by pundits for having a very solid start to a season.
Next up I have Mohammed Salah. Mo had a bright start to a new season, like he usually does: he got 2 goals and 2 assists in first 3 games. He scored 1 goal and got 2 assists in a win vs Norwich, was quite vs Bunrley, but got 1 goal vs Chelsea. His card would be 93 rated, if we go by usual case for upgrades, and would cost… honestly I have no idea. Should be around 35k or so?
Third in line is Hugo Lloris for Spurs. Spurs, surprisingly to many people, started season as only team with 3 wins out of 3 games and all 3 finished 1-0: City, Wolves and Watford all finished with that score. Lloris played huge part in all 3 wins, playing very solid and having an amazing game vs Wolves (to be fair, that’s a trend for a lot of GKs this season). Lloris would be 89 rated card, as he haven’t had any special cards this year, surprisingly to me. And would cost around 10-20k? I guess so.
Gabriel Jesus is my next option. Jesus shined as RW and got 5 contributions in 3 games. He had an off game vs Spurs, but whole City weren’t good. He had great games vs Arsenal and vs Norwich. Versus Norwich he actually got 3 assists, but it’d be 4, as he got an assist for own-goal. Versus Arsenal – City scored 5 and Gabriel played an important part with 1 goal and 1 assist. His card would be 86 rated, if I’m not mistaken and would be very cheap.
Next player on the line is Manchester United player: either Paul Pogba or Mason Greenwood – maybe even both. Pogba got 5 assists, 4 of them came in 1st game vs Leeds, and 1 more vs Southampton. Greenwood scored 3 goals in 3 games (who needs Ronaldo, right?). Both would be cool cards to have, especially Greenwood as he’d be 87 rated card and probably Striker. Would be very cheap. Pogba would be 91 rated CM, similar to his EL card and would be quite more expensive, even in September.
And the main candidate is: Michail Antonio from West Ham United. He got insane amount of contributions in first 3 games: 4 goals and 2 assists. What the hell? Michail Antonio was really good: 1 goal and 1 assist vs Newcastle and Crystal Palace, 2 goals and 1 assist vs Leicester. Just way to good. Main reason WHU sit near top of the table with 7 points after 3 games.
Chances of POTM: 70%
I think he’ll win it. If we’ll get it for sure. If we’re getting it in FUT 22 – even better, he’d be cheap starter player, would remind me of Lucas POTM in FUT 20, I think (or 19?). He’d be really cheap in FUT 21, probably like 10 or so thousand coins.
Very fun month of Premier League and if we’ll get a POTM – it should be a very good one and fun one.
