FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Premier League April POTM

One of the hardest month’s to choose nominees and players for this article so far. We’re getting closer to the end of the season, but it seems like with all Super League stuff – top teams forgot how to win games, that’s why I’m including a lot of players from mid-bottom part of the table.

Let’s see how the month unfolds and let’s see main favorites to win an award, shall we?

First one is Allan Saint-Maximin. Lately he performed really well, even tho he didn’t score or register a lot of assists – he influenced matches a lot by his dribbles and overall ball progression. He managed to get 1 goal and 1 assist in 2-1 win over Burnley and it was a highlight performance from him this month, also he played well in 3-2 win over West Ham United and was named by few people MOTM for a game vs Liverpool. Overall, Newcastle, somehow, went unbeaten this month and Saint Maximin contributed a lot with his play to that. Let’s say this: Realistically he has no chance of winning, even with fan votes, but a nice ASM card is always welcomed, I think. Let’s say – if he wins – it should be 87 rated card, just a bit better than his Freeze card and would cost quite a lot. I expect at least 500k if he wins. Not because he’s good, but because he’s fan favorite and his card is actually fun to play with.

Next player on my list is Jack Harrison from Leeds. Man City loanee had a good month for Leeds, who went unbeaten this month like Newcastle with getting 2 wins against City and Sheffield United and getting 2 draws at home place vs Liverpool and Manchester United. Jack assisted once: vs Liverpool for late equalizer, and scored a goal against Sheffield United. I don’t think Harrison will be a favorite to win an award, but at least he should be nominated. He’d be 83 rated card and would cost around 20-30k for his SBC at max in my opinion.

Next player I have is Harry Kane. As per usual I nominate him. He never wins, but I always nominate him. He’ll get TOTS faster than POTM and it’s fair enough. He had another good month for turbulent Spurs side. He scored 4 goals in 3 games: 2 goals versus Newcastle in a draw and 2 goals versus Everton…in a draw. Both ended 2-2, but Kane tried his best. Overall, I don’t think that he has a realistic chance of winning an award, but he still should be nominated. If he does win it – he’d get 91 rated card, which would cost around 150k. His 89 is expensive due to it being high rated fodder IF. And his Rulebreaker is more expensive due to him being faster. Simple as that.

Now I’m moving to 3 candidates that in my opinion will have a realistic chance at award and it’s not up to me to decide who wins it, but for people to choose.

Jesse Lingard is my first candidate: he had another incredible month with 4 goals and 1 assist in 4 games. Even tho West Ham lost their top 4 spot this month, Jesse still stole highlights and played well in most of the games: 1 goal and 1 assist in 3-2 win over Wolves, 2 goals in 3-2 win over Leicester and 1 goal in 3-2 defeat against Newcastle.

In terms of FUT – he’d be really nice card. I still think that he’ll get some sort of TOTS MomentsObjectiveSBC card, but if not – it’s perfect chance for him to receive a deserved special card with high rating (87) and very good stats.

Chances of POTM: 30%

Tips for investing:

I wouldn’t invest in Lingard’s POTM. It should be cheap and affordable for most of player who want him and I doubt anything would rise for his SBC.

Worth investing? As I’ve said above – no.

Estimated cost: 100k? I guess that’s max price for his 87 rated card. Stats aren’t the worst, but he’s bit behind power curve and I don’t expect it to be ultra expensive. But who can predict anything after Iheanacho POTM, right?

Mason Greenwood
had a very good month for United. Greenwood found his form back in very important month for United, where they are nearly secured 2nd spot and he managed to score 4 goals and get 1 assist. He scored 2 goals vs Burnley, managed to get 1G+1A in comeback win over Spurs and got winning goal against Brighton. He had a very good month and I won’t be surprised if people will vote for him.

His FUT card would be very good. I think it’ll arguably be one of the better POTMs this year, his 84 had already nice stats and his 87 can become very and very usable.

Chances of POTM: 30%

Tips for investing:

Buying Fodder would be a move, but it can be said about any POTM. TOTS AWB might rise because of that perfect link. But investing in TOTS AWB for POTM Greenwood is a bit too much in my opinion.

Worth investing? You decide.

Estimated cost: 150k-200k. His 84 rated card is 45k. Yes, I’m expecting it to be x3-x4 of the price, because I’ve seen Iheanacho and think that these are kinda similar situations. We’ll see if I’ll be right or wrong, but I expect this price.

Last player is Matheus Pereira. West Brom had a very fun month, they are nearly relegated, but fighting till the end and games with them are entertaining (who would’ve thought?). Matheus had a very good moth: 2 goals and 2 assists versus Chelsea were his main highlights, but he also scored 2 pens: in 3-0 win over Southampton and 2-2 draw versus Villa. Overall WBA had a good month, but don’t think it’ll be enough to survive. At least Pereira should get nominated and his potential 86 rated card would be good and fun. I expect it to be really cheap tho, that’s why I’m not suggesting any investing in in. I expect it to be around 60k. At max, maybe even less, as for most of people it’d be a fodder.

I think one of the last 3 players are winning it, but maybe it’s finally a time for Lingard to snap the award, as his fans waited for 2 months for that already and don’t want to be disappointed again.
