FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Ligue 1 November POTM
New Month – New POTMs. Let’s discuss Ligue 1 POTM for November.
Very weird month in Ligue 1. 5 teams went unbeaten this month: Lyon, Monaco, Marseille, Montpellier and Brest. There are only 3 spots for Predictions. I’ve chosen players who performed convincingly well for Monaco, Brest and Montpellier.
So I’ll explain some thoughts who can be included from Lyon and Marseille. Honestly – I don’t know. In all 3 matches – there were different MOTMs, so it’s hard to choose 1 player. For Lyon – I’d say Kadewere with 2 goals in 3 games, for Marseille – I’d say Rognier with an assist in 2 games. Also other game for Marseille was delayed this month, so I’d say no one from this team deserves POTM.
Let’s cover 3 main candidates
Let’s start.
Kevin Volland is my first and probably the most obvious choice. What a solid month for German international: 5 goals and 1 assist, 2 goals vs Bordeaux, 2 goals vs PSG in amazing comeback win and goal and assist vs Nimes. He deserves this POTM more than anyone this month, but as we’ve seen with BambaMbappe situation – it’s not all about “deserve”.
In terms of FUT – we might get cheap German striker with some nice shooting stats with some awesome links to Ben YedderFabregas RB and some other cards.
Chances of POTM: 60%
Tips for investing:
I don’t think it’s worth investing in this card. He’d be pretty cheap card and fodder will hardly move for him. So don’t mind and skip it, if you’re not interested.
Worth investing? As I’ve stated above – no, but if you think that he might be popular – you can try to invest in some links for him, like RB Fabregas.
Estimated cost: 50-70k. 87 rated card., which won’t be fully meta, but can be fun card for first owner, with 4* WF.
Andy Delort
2nd candidate for POTM that has a chance in my eyes for POTM award. 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 games, it may not be as impressive as Volland stats, but he still is the key player this month. 2 goals and assist vs Strasbourg, goal vs Bordeaux, assist vs Lorient, solid game vs Saint-Ettiene.
In terms of FUT – amazing card. Some awesome stats, despite 3* 3*, but still potential 90+ stats in pace, shooting and physical, with some nice links from Algeria (for example to RTTF Atal) and all that fun stuff.
Chances of POTM: 20%
Tips for investing:
I wouldn’t invest in this card, as it’ll be probably similar price as Volland.
Worth investing? No, I don’t think it is.
Estimated Cost: 50-70k. Similar type card as Volland but just faster. Wouldn’t expect anything ridiculous here.
Romain Perraud would be my 3rd choice for POTM award. From Brest, defender had a good and solid month: 1 goal and 2 assists, plus a clean sheet in 3 wins – very solid result, even tho card won’t be really good: he’s silver, so he’ll get maximum 82 rated card.
Chances of POTM: 10%

Worth investing? As I’ve stated above – no, it’s not
Estimated cost: 15-20k. 82 rated card, average LB, no one would be interested in him, even as a fodderfirst owner. Amavi and Kamara are just better.
There’re few other candidates, but they have really low chance at POTM, so I decided not to include them at all.
I think it’ll be Volland, but people might vote for Delort. I’ll be fine with either of them winning, let’s just hope – I’ll be right with at least 1 nominee.
