FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Bundesliga September POTM
New FUT – New POTMs. First POTM in Bundesliga, for September, should come out in early October.
Short month, only 2 games played for most of the teams, some surprising results, Bundesliga – at it’s best.
Most surprising results of this month are: BVB and Bayern both losing in their 2nd match day. That resulted in some interesting result for a favorite for POTM. Before 2nd match day – I was sure that one of Bayern or BVB players would get it, especially after 8-0 win by Bayern in 1st match day.
Augsburg and Hoffenheim keep their 100% records and they are only 2 teams to do it in the league, after 2nd match day. Only 2 teams won 2 games, that’s why I included players from both teams.
Apart from that – we had Joshua Kimmich playing well, even in Bayern loss to Hoffenheim, Fullkrug scored hat-trick vs struggling Schalke and helped Schalke fans as their manager got sacked for that result and Stuttgart had a nice start to their Bundesliga campaign.
Let’s start.
Andrej Kramaric . Honestly – I want to end the article here. He is an obvious winner, 5 goals in 2 games, 2 goals vs Bayern and overall he’s on insane form in 2020, he scored 4 goals in the last game of previous Bundesliga Season and continued his form into new season. Probably the best Bundesliga player (currently).
In terms of FUT – he won’t be as popular, so I’m hoping for a cheaper SBC. Here’s a thing – there’s a chance for him to get IF for a game vs Bayern, so this way his POTM should be 87, not 86. So even better. I really wish that we’ll get his POTM, despite only 2 games played.
Chances of POTM: 70%
Tips for investing:
I wouldn’t invest in this SBC. Just I expect him being pretty cheap and affordable and I don’t expect it to be popular for fodder to rise.
Worth investing? As I’ve stated above – no, it’s not
Estimated cost: 50-120k. 86 or 87 rated card, start of the game, unpopular playernation, but popular league, mediocre pace. I don’t expect it to be more than 80k, maybe even less, honestly.
Emil Forsberg
2nd candidate for POTM that has a chance in my eyes for POTM award. Emil had a nice start to his season, considering that he had few mediocre previous season at Leipzig. 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games is good enough to be considered for POTM award. But I don’t expect him to win it at all
Chances of POTM: 15%
Tips for investing:
Really don’t know what to suggest. This SBC would be hella cheap, maybe even less than 30k. 84 rated card, with decent stats for CAM, but not fast, with decent passing and dribbling, so don’t expect any cards to move in price for this card.
Worth investing? No, as I explained above
Estimated Cost: 30k. Can’t see it being more expensive. Will be really cheap and meh card. So doubt that it’ll be used for anything rather that fodder. It’s like last year’s Reine-Adelaide in Ligue 1. Cheap CAM than barely anyone used.
As I’ve said – I think Kramaric easily wins, but let’s cover few more candidates below, who have minor chances at award.
Nicholas Fullkrug would be 84. Very bad card, would be 12k SBC at max. He scored 3 goals vs Schalke and that was it, but it was important game for Werder.
Joshua Kimmich had 2 nice games for Bayern, despite losing 2nd. Scored a goal, had 2 assists from CDM position and overall was impressive, when played in Thiago role. His card would be 90 and would be one crazy good CDM, I’d expect his price to be around 200k or so. If there’s a big % of fan vote and Kimmich will be nominated – I can see him having a shot at award too.
Few more choices: Felix Uduokhai and Silas Wamangituka. Boy, what a surnames. Both had impressive month, especially Stuttgart player – he scored also 2 goals and got 1 assist in 2 games and has a shot on award. Augburg might get few nominees, but if Uduokhai will be excluded – it’ll be Caliguri who’ll get nominee for his game against BVB with 1 goal and 1 assist.
I’ll say it again – Kramaric wins it, I don’t see anyone apart from him getting an award.
