FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Bundesliga March POTM
New Month – New POTM. Let’s discuss POTM for March in Bundesliga.
Another pretty easy month to predict. Well. I thought last month was easy to predict, as Kostic should’ve won in 99% cases, but he lost to Pancho, somehow. Well, always count fan vote in Buli, right? Right.
We’re about to get another good POTM in Bundesliga, but as per usual – we’re about to cover some candidates that can get nominees, but won’t win an award. Let’s do this.
We’re starting with Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig. As this month was short due to International football – there were mostly only 3 games for each team in the month. Nkunku managed to get very good performance against Freiburg with 1 goal and 1 assist and in 2 other games he was just solid. I think it’s wild card choice, but there weren’t a lot of candidates, so here we are and Nkunku is in my predictions. His FUT card would be 86 rated balanced midfielder, but he wouldn’t cost more than 80k in my opinion. Still fun card for hybrids and overall has great links, because there are loads of Leipzig special cards.
Next up we have FUTMAS FIFA 20 legend – Dodi LUKEBAKIO. Yes, it’s him. Hertha had a decent month. I’m not joking. Hertha actually won 2 games this month. They won versus Augsburg and versus Bayer Leverkusen. Dodi played crucial part in both wins – he scored a pen versus Augsburg and got 2 assists for Hertha versus Bayer. His FUT card would be actually decent. He’s Belgium and we need more Belgium good players. He’d have 84 rated card, that should cost around 30k. But if we look at his FUT 20 – I expect, if he wins, it’ll be 100k SBC. No Kappa.
Then we have first Bayern player in my predictions. I’ve went with Goretzka, instead of Muller, because he’s more enjoyable in FUT. Yes. It’s biased opinion, but still! Goretzka had a very good month. He finished his February with 3 assists versus Koln, but I don’t think that game counts for POTM. So then he decided to score important goal in a comeback win versus BVB, scored a goal versus Werder and finished with a good performance versus Stuttgart. His FUT card will be either 89 rated or 90 rated. Depends on his Headliner and how it’ll be affected by potential POTM. I still doubt that he’ll win – but if he does – it’ll be insane card and would cost around 600k in my opinion. Around his Headliner Price. Again – he’ll surely get TOTS, so I doubt that you REALLY need him.
Next player is Erling Haland. BVB had average at best month: 4-2 loss to Bayern, 2-0 win over Hertha and 2-2 draw with Koln. Haland didn’t score versus Hertha, but in 2 other games he scored 4 goals. I think he’ll be nominated at least. What to say about Haland’s month overall. I think he deserved better, in all 3 games he played fantastically and it’s not his fault that BVB lost or drew in those games. Haland POTM would be 91 rated, a bit better than his Headliner and previous POTM, so he’d cost around 400-450k in my eyes. His previous POTM costed around 370k, so this one should be a bit more expensive.
Another candidate – Wout Weghorst. One of my favorite players in Bundesliga. Wolfsburg had a good month overall – 1 loss to Hoffenheim, 5-0 win over Schalke 05, win versus Werder. He scored in every game and got 2 assists versus Schalke too. He at least should be nominated. He’ll get TOTS too (finally, after 3 strong seasons in Bundesliga). Wolfsburg doing exceptionally well this season, they are sitting 3rd and not so far away from Leipzig. Wout scored 17 goals this season too. He’d have 88 rated card and it’d cost around 100k. It’ll be his 2nd POTM nominee, but sadly he won’t win an award. Why? Find out next!
Let’s move to main candidate.
Robert Lewandowski is my main candidate. What to say. 7 goals in 3 games. I think that’s enough for explanation? 3 goals versus BVB, 1 goal versus Werder, 3 goals versus Stuttgart. Insane month, insane season, insane player. Lewa should easily snap this award, should also win POTY and get 99 TOTS card too, needs a justice for his TOTY.
In terms of FUT… He’ll have at least 95 rated POTM. It shouldn’t be too expensive, but TOTS soon. While it’ll be 99 rated (I’m nearly sure) – a lot of people won’t be able to purchase him, as he’ll be really expensive. So POTM might be solving problems for some people and way to afford his good card.
Chances of POTM: 75%
Tips for investing:
I don’t think that he’ll be expensive or he’ll move fodder or other links from Bayern. A lot of Bayern players are SBCs or too expensive anyway already – so I doubt that it’s worth investing in Lewa’s POTM.
Worth investing? As I’ve said – mostly no. But if you’ll be able to buy cheap fodder – it’s always nice.
Estimated cost: 450k-500k. In my opinion. His first POTM was priced around 300k, his 94 rated IF is between 380k-450k depends on console, so I think this one should be around that price or just a little bit more. Again – be careful, as TOTS will be released soon!
