FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Bundesliga January POTM
New Month – New POTM. Let’s discuss POTM for January in Bundesliga.
Closest month I’ve ever predicted. When I was choosing 6 players I thought I could choose even few more. Rarely it happens and it’s good that it happened, because it’s easier to write an article, but overall choosing 1 winner would be hard.
Let’s move to the players straight away:
Hoffenheim had 5050 month with 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses, but 1 player stood up and played well for them: Andrej Kramaric. He already won 1st POTM in 1st month of FUT, but he has a small chance for 2nd POTM: He scored 5 goals this month, with 4 goals in 2 wins and it should be enough for nomination. Possible FUT card would be 88 rated with some really nice stats for StrikerCAM position with 4*4*, and wouldn’t be too expensive. I expect his price to be around 150k.
Next player is Jonas Hofmann. Monchengladbach went unbeaten this month with 4 wins and 2 draws, they even won vs Bayern. Hofmann was a highlight for them with 2 goals and 4 assists, had 2 goals and assist vs Bayern, and 3 assists in 3 games. He already had 1 IF so his POTM would be 86 rated card with some decent stats, but I don’t expect him to win it, as he’s not really popular person in the league and not many people would vote for him. His POTM would cost around 60k or so. His IF costs around 15k, so I don’t think this card will be more than DelortKramaric for example.
Next up on our list: Thomas Muller. Bayern had a good month with 5 wins and 1 loss in Bundesliga. Muller played part in 4 of those games with 4 goals and 2 assists. Thomas Muller got robbed of TOTY Nominee card, so I’m advocating for his POTM. High average rating, very important player for Bayern. In terms of FUT: He’d be 90 rated card (as we’ve seen with Haland example: 88>90). His 88 card costs 60k on both consoles, so I expect his POTM to be around 130k. He’s sadly not really usable, due to his weird card and stats not reflecting Muller properly, but still – he deserved nominee at least!
Another candidate: Jadon Sancho. Sancho is finally back in form: 3 goals and 4 assists in January. Even tho BVB won only 3 out of 6 games this month with 1 draw and 2 losses, but Sancho played part in most of those games. Even in a loss vs Monchengladbach – he got 2 assists and was a best player on the pitch. Sancho had a rough start of this season, but he looks like he’s back to his best, which are the good news for BVB fans. In terms of FUT… ugh this was hard due to his Record Breaker card. He’d be quite similar to it, but with better stats in passing, dribbling, for example, but worse shooting (as it was the main aspect of his Record-Breaker card). Let’s say his price would be similar, around 350k. Or should be close to that. Really popular player IRL, but some weak stats in FUT.
Let’s move to main candidates.
Robert Lewandowski had a very good month, as per usual. I’m tired of writing the same thing here, as I nominate him for POTM every month. 7 goals this month, as I’ve said before: 5 wins and 1 loss for Bayern. Lewandowski scored in each game, he’s in amazing form, probably best of his life. He also got 2 assists this month, so overall if he’ll win an award – it’ll be throughout deserved win. Even tho he got TOTY card already, but it doesn’t matter in big picture, as it’ll be more affordable card.
In terms of FUT – he’d get 94 rated POTM. As I’ve said before: He’ll get TIF for sure and I’m not sure if we need another POTM Lewa. It’s the same case as Reus in FUT 19. He’s just too good and getting a lot of special cards anyway.
Chances of POTM: 35%
Tips for investing:
I can’t say it’s worth investing in any fodder at the moment. Some Bayern players might rise, but I doubt: we’ve had Boateng SBC, we’ve had 3 Bayern players in TOTY, so I doubt that they’ll rise more for Lewa POTM.
Worth investing? I wouldn’t invest in him. Fodder is too high and players wouldn’t rise for him, imo.
Estimated cost: 350-400k. I still expect his card to be around the same price. A bit more than his first POTM, but still really affordable card.
Andre Silva. What you can say about Andre Silva… Let’s just say: he produced the same numbers as Lewandowski this month and this fact alone deserves a nomination. Eintracht had an insane month: 6 games with 5 wins and 1 draw, Andre Silva scored in most of them and got Man of The Week award by Bundesliga site twice (in a row). Amazing season at Frankfurt for him.
In terms of FUT he should get 86 rated POTM card, with some decent stats and 4* skills. So overall: it’s not the WORST card, but it’s not the BEST card too. It’s somewhere in the middle. Hoping for a good upgrade, if he wins.
Chances of POTM: 35%
Tips for investing:
He’d be very cheap POTM if he’d win. His IF costs around 20k, so I don’t expect any fodder or any links to move up for him.
Worth investing? As I’ve said – no.
Estimated cost: 60-70k. Shouldn’t be more than that. Fodder for a lot of people, but still should have some decent stats and possible winter upgrade too.
I think Andre Silva should win it. I think it’ll be really close between Lewa, Silva and Sancho. All of them have a shot at award, but Silva and Lewa look like favorites to me due to their team results. Lewa is a bit boring, Silva is a bit meh. Dunno for who fans will vote. Very interesting and close POTM.
