FIFA 21: Player of the Month Prediction - Bundesliga December POTM
New Month – New POTM. Let’s discuss POTM for December in Bundesliga.
Another interesting and close month for POTM nominees, no clear winner, so let’s see what we can do.
Surprise of the month surely were 2 teams: Freiburg and Stuttgart. Well, Wolfburg also performed well, but in Wolfsburg there’s no clear candidate for an award, so I’m skipping it. Bayern, as usual, won most of the games in this month and won fixtures vs Bayer and Wolfsburg, their hardest opponents this month and drew with RB Leipzig.
Bayer themselves had a very nice month until meeting with Bayern, still one of the players should be nominated, at least 1.
There are few more stand out players that I’ll cover later, but for now:
Robert Lewandowski had a very good month, as usual he does: He scored 5 goals in 4 games, his goals helped to overturn results vs Wolfsburg and Bayer, he was clutch as usual – he’s Robert Lewandowski. With 5 goals he at least should be nominated.
In terms of FUT – he’d get 94 rated POTM. I’m not sure if people should vote for him, due to him being in TOTY at the same time. He’ll get TIF for sure and I’m not sure if we need another POTM Lewa. It’s the same case as Reus in FUT 19. He’s just too good and getting a lot of special cards anyway.
Chances of POTM: 25%
Tips for investing:
I can’t say it’s worth investing in any fodder at the moment. It’s too high anyway. So let’s just hope he won’t get one.
Worth investing? I wouldn’t invest in him. As I’ve told – it’s not worth investing in fodder, when it’s already too high.
Estimated cost: 350-400k. Interesting. Last time his POTM was worth around 300k. If it’s 1 higher rating – he should be around 50-100k more. Not much to say apart from that.
Kingsley Coman. What a month for King Coman, 5 assists in 4 games for Bayern, 3 assists vs RB Leipzig and overall very strong contender for POTM award. Coman probably strongest winger this season at Bayern, and if he’ll manage to stay fit and in form – it’s a good sign for Bayern.
In terms of FUT he should get 88 rated POTM card, with some nice stats for a winger and overall be a very decent option. Yes, it’s LM, but it’s quality option and shouldn’t be a very expensive one

Tips for investing:
Again, as I’ve said previously – fodder is just to high to invest atm.
Worth investing? As I’ve said – no.
Estimated cost: 200-250k. I think so, may be a bit more, just because it’s Bayern SBC so a bit of tax, also he’s French and fast. And 4* skills, only problem is 3* WF. But still, people used worse cards.
Silas Wamangituka. Fan favorite player had an incredible month. 4 goals, 2 of them were in a win over Dortmund, 1 assist vs them, so overall very strong stats that should nominate him. Yes he had 2 average games after that, but he should get nominated. And it’s where community comes in clutch.
In terms of FUT: what a card it’d be. 5* skills, with an upgrade from his 74 rated Silver Star with some amazing stats. He should win fan vote with ease, and I hope he wins an award itself.
Chances of POTM: 35%
Tips for investing:
I doubt that this card would be too expensive. So I wouldn’t invest much, but maybe 83 and 84 rated cards will rise enough for him.
Worth investing? I doubt it’s worth investing in him, but that’s up for you, I don’t think lower rated fodder will move for him.
Estimated cost: 100-150k. Something around that. Price of FUT FREEZE Joao Victor comes to mind, so 8283 rated squad + 85 rated squad.
Let’s cover other candidates too:
Vincenzo Grifo is my choice from Freiburg who didn’t lose a game this month. They had 3 wins and 1 draw this month and Grifo had a contribution in each game. He had 3 goals and 2 assists in those games and had an awesome average rating too. He should be at least nominated. His FUT card isn’t really good or worthy completing, it’d be only 84(or 86) rated with some meh stats. Possible price: 50k at max.
Leon Bailey would be 85 rated card and would be worth around 100k. His card would be too similar to his Freeze, maybe a bit better, by 1 rating and few stats, so price a bit higher. He played RW this month for Bayer and had 2 goals and 2 assists. As I’ve said Bayer had a very strong month until game vs Bayern, which could’ve finished as a draw. He was MOTM vs Hoffenheim and got assists vs Koln and Schalke.
Lars Stindl would be 86 rated card, probably cheapest of the bunch, alongside Grifo, and would worth around 50k too. He recently got 1 IF, that would boost his card a bit more. He scored 4 goals this month, 3 of them were vs Eintracht Frankfurt and got 1 goal vs Hoffenheim (poor Hoffenheim), so it’s not much, but it’s honest job.
I think Silas should win it, I think fan vote will clutch it. Either Silas or one of the Bayern guys, but let’s hope for Silas. It should be better for FUT in general.
