FIFA 21 Marquee Matchups Predictions: January 28th
Hey guys, it’s Tillian and it’s Marquee Matchups predictions for the another week of FUT.
Last week we another got 34. Consistent 34 makes me really happy as I had few weeks of struggles before that, but now I’m aiming at that 44. Again – missed a game that I didn’t expect: Leicester vs Everton, but it’s understandable choice and overall a fair selection.
I won’t include midweek games once again as it seemed to be the case last week, so yeah, hopefully we’ll get something close to real SBC once again.
Let’s do it:
Arsenal vs Manchester United
Very good option for Marquee Matchup game from Premier League. Last time this game took place – Arsenal ended their dreadful run of games against top 6, but after that United got their stuff together and now sitting at first place. Interesting how this game will go this time. Arsenal started playing better since they introduced Smith-Rowe as number 10, they got creativity now and looking decent in defense. So if they want to have a shot on European Football next year – they must win this game. It’s also one of the most intense rivalries in Prem, since the beginning of the century. So yeah, this game should be in.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per team
-Team overall 80
-Overall Chemistry 80+
-At least 3 rares
-Max players per league: 4
What to invest in: A lot of choices from those teams, but I’d buy in advance. For these type of games they require 1-2 players from each team, so buy closer to 80 or 80+ players from those teams (maybe rares or perfect links, for example Shaw + Maguire, Bellerin + Ceballos).
Atalanta vs Lazio
Another time I include Atalanta game in MMs, but this time it’s also understandable – Lazio started perform well and now both teams are battling for UCL spot. Both teams play in unique style and both squads are good and I expect very close game and probably high scoring game, even tho both teams started conceded way less goals lately

-3 player per league
-Overall rating of 77+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Just few players from different nations from Serie A teams. I’m not sure that this game will be included in MMs, but I’d buy few players anyway.
Barcelona vs Atletic Bilbao
Rematch for SuperCup game. I expect this game be very heated even without fans. Barca would want a revenge and Bilbao would love to prove themselves again. SuperCup went really unexpected, but this happens when you manager is Marcelino. He knows how to play vs big squads and get results. Wonder what will happen. (I think Messi will be allowed to play, because of red card and disqualification would expire just before this game, so I expect a good performance from him)

-2 player per league
-Overall rating of 77+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Any players from those teams or La Liga in general. Don’t think there would be any exceptional requirements.
RB Leipzig vs Bayer Leverkusen
Big game in Bundesliga. 2nd vs 3rd, both teams are legit title contenders this season, as Bayern struggles a bit (even though they sit at first place with some gap). Both teams play in interesting style and this game should be really close. Bayer won vs Dortmund, Leipzig lost vs BVB recently, so it’ll be interesting to see how this game will go.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per each club
-Overall rating of 79
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Any players from those teams or Bundesliga. Probably closer to 79-81 rating to be safe and “check” rating requirement.
AZ vs Ajax Sporting CP vs Benfica
2 games from smaller leagues. Why I’m doubting them – because we recently got Benfica vs Porto and Ajax vs PSV games in MMs. They don’t give out MM games to those teams too often, but these games are just too big to exclude them.
AZ vs Ajax should be close game. Their previous one in cup ended only 1-0 towards Ajax, so this one should be somewhat close, even tho AZ looking hella good lately. There are only 7 points between 2 teams, so overall it’s important game to both squads.
Sporting vs Benfica another big game in Liga NOS. Teams are separated by 4 points, Sporting surprising everyone this year and they are first in table, while both Benfica and Porto struggle a bit this season. Best chance for Sporting to win that precious title. Pedro Goncalves carrying them with insane performances, so this game should be really interesting to watch.

-Overall rating of 75+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Any players from those teams, just to be safe. I explained why we cancan’t get them in MMs, so don’t go too far on players from those clubs.
There are also few other games to highlight, but I don’t think they’ll be included.
