FIFA 21 Marquee Matchups Predictions: 29th of April
Last week we got serious 34 result, but should’ve been 44. I missed Lazio vs Milan and it’s disappointing, but it’s my fault. This week going to be harder, due to some teams being included last week, so let’s try to do something with it and get a maximum result from what we have to work with.
There are some big games in big leagues and some big games in smaller leagues. I tried to cover most of them, so let’s get to action.
Let’s do it:
Valencia vs Barcelona
I’m once again including Barcelona game in MMs. Last 2 weeks we didn’t get it, so it’s perfect time for this game to be included. Barca are now favorites to win La Liga, due to Atletico dropping points to Bilbao, so Barca actually might win 2 trophies this season, surprisingly to many people. Let’s be real – at the start of the season everyone was saying how Barca were awful, but Koeman turned it around with his 3-at-the-back system and even tho, they lost main games – they are winning against lesser opposition. Game versus Valencia may not be as big as in previous seasons, because Valencia are struggling hard this year, but still should be a nice fixture and I think it’s probably best choice for a game from La Liga

What to invest in: As per usual – few La Liga players and you’re set.
Werder vs LeipzigBVB vs Holstein Kiel
There’s no Bundesliga games this week, but there’re semi finals of German cup. I don’t think we’ll see BVB vs Kiel, as it’s hard to require players from both leagues, so they might just choose Werder vs Leipzig as semis and it won’t be the worst choice. Of course Leipzig are favorites and I won’t be surprised if we’ll get this game in MMs. Don’t think there’s any historical background to it tho.

-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Buy 1-2 players from each team and maybe Bundesliga in general
Manchester United vs Liverpool Southampton vs Leicester Chelsea vs Fulham
I know that we just got Manchester United vs Leeds in MMs, but it’s hard to exclude such a big game from MMs. I doubt that we’ll get United vs Liverpool, that’s why I’m including 2 more games. The reason for Chelsea vs Fulham – it’s just London derby (oh, another one) and overall important fixture for both teams: Chelsea are battling for top 4 and Fulham are fighting for survival. Southampton vs Leicester – mostly because of recent games between them and maybe Southampton would want a revenge for FA Cup, where they lost to Leicester in Semis.

-Overall rating of 78+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: I don’t recommend going for United vs Liverpool, as I’ve mentioned above that we just got United in MMs, so just buy few players from Prem and that’s it.
Monaco vs Lyon
Somehow we didn’t get Lyon vs Lille in recent MMs, so it’s time for another big game in Ligue 1 this week. Monaco, who are basically on a mad streak without losing a game and seriously pretending at first place vs Lyon who are might not get Top 3 anymore after a good season they’ve had. Another title deciding game, where Monaco can’t afford to drop points. Also Monaco recently won vs Lyon in a cup, so I think this game will be included and it’ll be really nice showing again.

-Overall rating of 78+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Get yourself 1-2 players from each team and get yourself overall players from Ligue 1 and you’ll be safe.
Sampdoria vs Roma Milan vs Benevento
I’ve chosen Sampdoria vs Roma from Serie A, as I couldn’t really find another game that’s at least competitive on paper. Udinese vs Juventus maybe, but Sampdoria are managed by ex Roma coach, who everyone loves: Claudio Ranieri, so that’s mostly a reason why I included this game. Milan vs Benevento was my wild-card choice, because it’d be Filipe Inzaghi vs his old club and it would be a meaningful game for both teams, but we just got Milan in MMs, that’s why I doubt that we’re getting that game.

-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: Buy yourself few Serie A players and just be safe.
I think I covered nearly every game, but there’s a chance for surprise and we might get something like Slavia Praha vs Viktoria Plzen, which wouldn’t really surprise me, it’s a nice fixture, but we didn’t get a lot of Czech league games this season to be fair.
Hard week to predict, honestly, a lot of random games can be included and overall there’re not many marquee matchups this week, but I tried to cover nearly every possible fixture. We’ll see how it goes.
