FIFA 21 Marquee Matchups Predictions: 18th of March
Hey guys, it’s Tillian and it’s Marquee Matchups predictions for the another week of FUT.
There won’t be any Premier League in Predictions this week due to FA Cup weekend, so that’s why. Not as many top games overall this week, but I tried to find something interesting from different leagues to include in this predictions. Of course I have few Marquee games, but half of games are 5050 and I expect mediocre score this time.
And I won 44 lottery last week. I’m so happy. Let’s try it again.
We’ll see what happens this week.
Let’s do it:
Celtic vs Rangers
Despite Rangers already winning the league – I think it’s still great game to include in Marquee Matchups. It’s Old Firm. I don’t know how to even exclude it from Predictions. Maybe Celtic would want some kind of revenge for this season, or Rangers just want to secure this title in style.
Most likely requirements:
-1 player per team
-Team overall 75+
-Overall Chemistry 80+
-At least 3 rares
-Max players per league: 4
What to invest in: Any players from SPL. Probably buy few players from Celtic or Rangers, to be safe, but that’s all. Still I think it should be in Marquee Matchups.
Real Sociedad vs Barcelona
Another great fixture in La Liga. Real Sociedad still haven’t lost chances for UCL spot and Barca still battling for 1st place. Even though for both teams it’s kinda hard, but nevertheless it should be a good game and should be in MMs. Barcelona before few seasons ago couldn’t win at Sociedad’s home pitch for ages, so I expect a very close game between 2 squads.

-Overall rating of 77+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: I’d say – if you have players from La Liga in your club – you should be safe. I don’t expect anything special this time in this fixture. Maybe it won’t be even included.
Roma vs Napoli Inter vs Sassuolo
Roma vs Napoli is important game for UCL spot. Not only it’s a good fixture, but it’s also because teams are sitting at 4th and 6th place. Separated by only few points – this game might decide how the rest of the season goes for both teams. Both teams are very weird to me. Sometimes they are very good, sometimes they are very bad. So this game might be very very close. It’ll be a nice watch for sure.
Inter vs Sassuolo always stands out to me, because on paper it should be as close as it usually is. Sassuolo for some time were Evil Geniuses of Inter and I remember them winning a lot of games against them. But this time it could be different just because Inter are in great form, especially lately! We’ll see what happens, but it should be a class game to watch.

-At least 3 teams

What to invest in: Any players from those clubs or just Serie A in general. Don’t expect anything ultra special for these ties.
Besiktas vs Fenerbahce
Turkish league – we’re back. 2 teams, that are still in title race, for both teams it’s important game and I rarely exclude game between BesiktasFenerGala in MMs. I dunno what much to say apart from: both teams can’t afford to lose this game if they still want to contest title. I’d be really surprised if this game will be excluded from Marquee Matchups, but we saw some mad fixtures being excluded from this sort of SBC.

-Overall rating of 75
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: I think buying few players from Turkish league – would make you safe and I don’t think anything else special will be required.
Lyon vs PSG
As I’ve said last week – 4 teams in title race for Ligue 1 title. Last week it was Monaco vs Lille, this week it’s PSG vs Lyon. 1st game between these 2 teams ended with Lyon 1-0 victory over PSG and it was well deserved victory. This time stake is higher, Lyon are seriously title contenders and PSG should be nervous. I can’t imagine how this game will go, but nevertheless it should be in my mind in Matchups. Again – we’ll see what happens, but hopefully game will be in SBC. And I highly recommend to watch it!

-Overall rating of 79+
-At least 3 rares
-At least 3 teams
-90 chemistry
What to invest in: I think game will be 78-80 rated SBC, if it’ll be included, so yeah, should be a nice game. Buy few players from Lyon and PSG and be safe.
There are also few other games to highlight, but I don’t think they’ll be included.
