FIFA 21: Headliners Predictions
A lot of people complained that Headliners were released usually a bit too late, so a lot of cards didn’t get upgrades. 1 month earlier, especially in a season where teams play 2 times a week, could give a lot of possible and good upgrades.
When I was creating this Headliners Team – I was having in mind potential TOTY cards, so Lewandowski, Messi and CR7 not in the team for this reason and also RTTF cards. I made 2 exclusions: Bruno and Rashford. Mostly because they’ve been sensational. Bruno may or may not get TOTY and HL card would be a saving grace if he wouldn’t get one. Rashford has RTTF, but it’s LW and HL would be ST card. So yeah, it’s hard to explain, but I hope you get me. Also I think United is 1 out of 2 teams where I included more than 1 player into squad.
What to say about my picks. A lot of them quite obvious ones. Few of the players already got 2 IFs (at least), for example: Lozano, Benzema, Theo, Tavernier, Haland, Zaha, Mkhitaryan. So their inclusion is understandable.
Few players already got POTMs and were nominated to few others: Oyarzabal, Son, Felix, Haland again.
I’ve chosen players from not so popular teams, like Kruse from Union Berlin. Toko-Ekambi would be my choice from Lyon, even tho full Lyon team can be in, they are really good.
Lukaku would be my choice from Inter, even tho Hakimi would be it, but he has OTW card.
Some teams sit high up in table, but to choose one player was hard. For example: Liverpool. Who’d be your choice? Salah? He has RTTF and it’s a bit weird choosing him. I went with Robertson, as he came back to his form and playing really well.
PSG is another example: I went for Kimpembe, but one of Ney or Mbappe can get it. Or Di Maria. Or Keylor Navas. It’s hard to choose one player. I think Kimpembe was sensational for PSG.
As for Bayern: I went with Coman, who was the best player after Lewandowski for Bayern (maybe with Neuer). Coman gets a lot of assists and playing really well, if can stay injury free – he might have one insane season.
Picking GK was really hard, as no one really stood out. In every league there is a good performer, so I went with Koen Casteels from Wolfsburg, who are having a nice year. Maybe there won’t be a GK at all. I think there wasn’t a GK last year.
Also, Dumfries is my personal pick, as I love him. Also he’s Denzel. And he plays well for PSV, it’s deserved inclusion.
So yeah, let’s see what we’ll get, but Headliners should be a good team and promo.
