FIFA 21 Bundesliga TOTS Predictions

What a season we’re having. Some surprises up top of the table, some surprises at the bottom, but one thing is constant: Bayern stays up top.

I’ll do a quick rundown of the league, and then would move to players by positions. We’ll go from bottom to top.

Well, at the bottom of the league are poor Schalke. Poor-poor Schalke. They’ll get relegated, and we probably won’t see them in Bundesliga for some time, like Hamburg. Embarrasing season for them and I’m sure – we’ll see 0 players from them in TOTS.

Then we have a battle for survival between 4-5 clubs that can take 17 and 16 spots. I remind you that 16th spot in Bundesliga guarantees you a play-off game versus 3rd team in 2.Bundesliga, so that team will have a chance to survive. Long story short – Bielefeld, Koln, Mainz, Hertha and Augsburg battling for survival. I doubt that we’ll see any TOTS from those clubs, but maybe we’ll get some moments SBCsObjectives like last year we saw with Quiason.

Next up we have a bunch of mid table clubs that will guarantee their survival soon and will get 1-2 TOTS per club most likely: Bremen, Hoffenheim, Borussia Monchengladbach (sad drop off because manager decided to announce that he’s leaving to their rivals midseason), Stuttgart, Freiburg and Union Berlin.

Then we have a battle for UCL between Leverkusen (who dropped hard after New Year and sacked their manager), BVB (who sacked their manager before New Year) and Eintracht Frankfurt, who are back at it with great football, like few years ago with RebicHallerJovic.

Then we have main surprise of the season for me: Wolfsburg. Best defense in the league with Leipzig, good midfield and amazing striker. It’s nice to see them at 3rd, hopefully they’ll finish high and guarantee their UCL spot too!

Then we have 2 usual suspects: RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich. Werner left Leipzig, but they didn’t drop off. Naggelsman doing great work, still sitting only 4 points behind Bayern Munich (at the time I’m writing this article) and finish to the season will be interesting. Bayern are as per usual, with a best player in the world, sitting at first. Overall defending of the team is quite suspicious, while they are scoring way more than everyone (75 goals versus 2nd place BVB 54 goals and 3rd Eintracht with 53 goals. No one else scored more than 50 goals in the league). So yeah, watching Bundesliga fun as per usual. Lots of goals and lots of great players.

Now let’s move to players, shall we?

We’re starting with a goalkeepers in this fun league. Despite a lot of goals scored – I found 4 main candidates that can get TOTS cards.

1st one in line – Manuel Neuer. A bit weird choice, when you consider Bayern conceded even more goals than, for example, Union Berlin. But when you consider that Manu playing with mistake prone CBs and overall high line of defense – he deserves some respect and recognition. He got a lot of times into Kicker’s TOTW and overall he’s at his best again.

Next up is Koen Casteels. 2nd best defense in the league, Koen’s been doing really good too. Yeah, defense and tactics help, but overall he’s been really solid for Wolfsburg and some sort of legend there already. He might miss on TOTS, but I feel like it’d be really unfair to him. He’s had a great season and deserves to be recognized. He’s first player from Wolfsburg in this predictions and there will be more!

Next up – I have 2 more goalkeepers that can get TOTS: Peter Gulasci and Kevin Trapp. First been playing amazingly for Leipzig. He’s been consistent for them and they’re having good defensive record. I won’t be surprised if he gets TOTS, maybe not Bundesliga, but Most Consistent. Would be fair choice. Peter is reliable goalkeeper and rarely makes a mistake. Who would’ve thought that Liverpool reserve goalkeeper would become one of the better goalies in Bundesliga in few years.

Trapp’s been solid for Frankfurt too. Maybe not as good as few years ago, but still. Knowing Frankfurt playstyle – it’s crazy that they’ve conceded less goals then, for example – Dortmund. I think Frankfurt will get some recognition in this TOTS, even without Trapp, but if we’ll get some sort of fan vote – he surely has a chance to be in it. Have you seen better looking GK? He’s fantastic.

So yeah, if we rate them, I have this order: Casteels>Neuer>Gulasci>Trapp. We’ll see what we’ll get!

Next up we have defenders in the list. Problem here: all fullbacks performed mostly average at best and a lot of teams play 3 at the back. So yeah, even, for example – lovable Alphonso Davies having an average season, so I’m not including him.

Only left back I have in my team is Raphael Guerreiro. He’s had some great season for BVB and considered one of the better LBs in the world earlier this season. He got 3 goals and 8 assists in Bundesliga, so he should be 99% in TOTS. Hard to name other options. There aren’t any. Maybe we’ll see someone like Christian Gunter from Freiburg as an option for SBCObjective. He’s been consistently solid for them, managed to get 3 assists and overall Freiburg having another decent season in Bundesliga.

With Right Backs it’s all even harder for them. Only clear option I’m seeing is – Riddle Baku from Wolfsburg. Yes, sometimes he played RM, but his best performances came from RB spot. 5 goals, 3 assists for him this year. Fantastic season, fantastic player, probably breakthrough of the season alongside Lacroix. I don’t have any other option for RB. Honestly. Bayern? No one. BVB? No. Leipzig? Nordi Mukiele MAYBE. Just maybe. Don’t think it’s enough from him to get TOTS. Apart from them? No one. Maybe Trimmel from Union, as he got 1 goal and 6 assists this season and Union had one of the better defensive records in the league, but he missed on last year’s TOTS, when he should’ve got one. So I think he’ll miss on this one too.

Moving to Center Backs and here where the fun begins. I have too many options for CB spots. When I was making predictions – I nearly placed 8 or 9 CBs at 1 point. There are a lot of good CBs.

Starting with Mats Hummels – one of the best defenders in the league, despite numbers of conceded goals by BVB. I can’t imagine what it’d been without him in defense of BVB. Managed to get 3 goals too. I think he’s a lock in TOTS. Sadly no Flashback for him this year, so he’ll be slower than last year.

Next up is Dayot Upamecano. Future Bayern player had an amazing season for Leipzig. Statistically the best defender in the league, best defender of the best defense in the league, had Headliner card too. Should be easily locked in and get one insane TOTS card. Will be even better than last year’s card.

Then we have Edmond Tapsoba. Despite Bayer Leverkusen not having the best season – Tapsoba still top 3 rated CB by Kicker in Bundesliga and he deserves to be in TOTS. He got numerous TOTW appearances in Bundesliga, got 1 goal and overall he’s very hyped young footballer. Yes, not a lot of clean sheets, but trust me, it’s not his fault (in most of the times). With his Future Stars being OP already – his TOTS will be on insane level. One of the better CBs in game.

Next up we have Matthias Ginter. Despite obvious Gladbach struggles – few players performed constantly. One of them is Ginter. Depspite bad defensive record – he’s still Top 4 CB in the league rating wise (by Kicker) and should get a decent TOTS card too. He sneaked into last year TOTS, he should get this year’s too. There’s a chance for Nico Elvedi instead of Ginter, he’s been solid too, maybe he’d be even better choice for FUT users (aka he’d be faster), but I went with Ginter. It’s possible that I’ll be wrong here, mostly relied on Kicker ratings.

Last CB in my predictions, I promise, but not the last in the list for sure – Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg. What a season, what a player, what a transfer. Wolfsburg got him for 5 millions in the summer. Only 5 millions for one of the best CBs in the league. Maxence had insane season with Wolfsburg. 10 clean sheets to his team, 1 goal, 1 assist, multiple TOTW appearances in Kicker’s TOTW. Should be at least in TOTS, but if not – he should get Silver Stars. Would be insane card anyway!

Now lets mention some honorable players for CB spot that might get in, but I excluded them for different reasons. First – Martin Hinteregger from Eintracht. I’ve said that Eintracht’s defense isn’t the best, but Hinter got somehow Headliner this season in FUT and overall he’s not THAT bad, but I think TOTS would be too much for him. 1 goal, 1 assist and 3 clean sheets. He’s solid, but not TOTS worthy imo. But if he’ll get it – he’ll have one really GREAT card.

Marvin Friedrich from Union Berlin is other choice for me. As I’ve mentioned recently – Union had a good season and solid defense surely helped that. Marvin solidly rated by Kicker and his numbers show that he’s been good. 7 clean sheets by Union help his case. BUT. Here’s a problem. Union seems rarely to get love in FUT, and they don’t have a lot of support anywhere on socials, so he can easily miss out on TOTS. But some Silver Stars Objective card for him would be a nice addition to Bundesliga TOTS.

I’m finished with defenders, trust me. It’s been a long part of the article.

Now we move to midfielders and I want to start with covering LMs fast, because it’s quite easy to choose them. Angelino and Kostic.

Yes, Angelino. I lied. He’s somewhat LWBLM for Leizpig, but I did put him as LM, so I wouldn’t have to write him under defenders. And I needed more LMs in a team. 4 goals and 4 assists for him, one of the more important players for Leizpig and should get one really fun TOTS that would look closer to his last year’s RTTF. What a transfer it’s been for Leipzig too! He’s been with them for a bit over a year and it’s been a massive success for everyone.

Filip Kostic having an unreal season. I don’t know what Hutter (coach of Frankfurt) feeds him, but Kostic been on another level, especially in 2021. 10 assists and 4 goals from LM spot. Insane player, insane TOTS, nothing else to say, he’s 1000% locked to get nice TOTS. You could play him anywhere on the pitch, he’ll probably have club 90 at this rate.

Next up Right Wingers. I have two 5 star skill players in FIFA. Jadon Sancho and Silas Wamangituka.

Jadon Sancho started season very slow and rough, but he came back to his form and now he’s at his best again. 6 goals and 9 assists to his name. He should get TOTS, as there weren’t a lot of candidates for that spot too in my opinion. It’ll be interesting to watch Sancho’s saga in summer, if he’ll decide to leave BVB too.

Silas Wamangituka more of fan service from me, but I can’t disagree with him having very bright first season in Bundesliga. Unknown player became fan favorite in few months and from what I’ve seen – EA tends to recognize players like this. If he won’t get into main TOTS – he should get either Objective or Some SBC card. He got 11 goals and 4 assists this season, so his inclusion in TOTS is fair in all cases.

Now we have central mids. I think I have 4 locked 1000% players in and 1 wild-card choice.

Well, 3 of 4 locked players are from Bayern. Kimmich, Goretzka and Muller. What I have to say… Kimmich and Goretzka one of the best duo’s of midfielder in the world. Both playing fantastically, both giving out assists and scoring. Goretzka transformed into one of the best box to box midfielders in a world in the last year and it’s really nice to see. Kimmich got few times injured, but that doesn’t matter overall – he’s just too good. 2 goals and 10 assists in Bundesliga for him, 4 goals and 5 assists for Goretzka this season. Fun duo, should be one of the best hyperlinks in this FUT.

Muller is just Muller. He’s getting better with age. Thomas Muller has 10 goals and 14 assists this season. Insane numbers. He’s 100% locked for TOTS and I dunno what to explain more. He’s just ThomAsssist Muller, as Lewa said.

Christopher Nkunku is my next choice. He’s having even better season than last one, and he got TOTS last year too. 4 assists and 6 goals to his name, covered multiple positions for Leipzig and played nearly everywhere in midfield and attack in Leipzig and he’s been good everywhere. So yeah, it’s deserving TOTS, if he’ll get it, and it’ll be pretty balanced card and nice for hybrids.

Last midfielder spot is pretty hard for me to choose. It’s between two main players: Lars Stindl and Max Kruse. You can actually decide for yourself: Kruse got 10 goals and 5 assists and Stindl got 11 goals and 5 assists. It seems like I dislike Union Berlin, but no, I respect them, but I went with Stindl. Mostly due to Kruse missing more because of injury. Kruse should get TOTSObjective easily and it’ll be deserved. Stindl is a leader of Monchengladbach and he’s done everything in his power for his team, apart from 1 missed penalty.

Apart from them we might get Borna Sosa from Stuttgart. He got 8 assists from LMLWB spot for Stuttgart and impressed a lot of people. Jude Bellingham played well in his first season for BVB, got 3 assists. Maybe some sort of Special card for him, like Silver Stars. Apart from them – Marcel Sabitzer is another candidate for Leizpig and Midfield spot, captain of Leipzig had good season, scored 6 goals and got 2 assists. Maybe he’ll get SBC card or Objective like last year too.
Also Arnold, captain of Wolfsburg has a shot at TOTS: he got 3 goals and 5 assists and played consistently well for Wolfsburg in all games. So yeah, he’s a shout for TOTS too!

Apart from them – I honestly don’t know who else deserves TOTS in midfield spot. You can name some people for me in comments and we’ll discuss it.

Finally we’re moving to attackers, right? Fun part is here. There are a lot of Bundesliga strikers who perfromed amazingly well this season. But I’ll start with:

Andrej Kramaric. Andrej played multiple positions for Hoffenheim, but I did put him as CF, but he can easily get CAM card too. He scored 14 goals and got 3 assists for Hoffenheim this season, he’s a leader of their club, main star and he’s really good player. Would be actually good TOTS too, as he’s got few special cards and his TOTS should be boosted from his POTM.

Next on the list is Wout Weghorst. 17 goals, 5 assists, finally he’ll get TOTS. 3rd year in Bundesliga, finally gets TOTS, right? Nothing should stand in his way. He’s playing exceptionally well for Wolfsburg and he’s one of the better strikers in Bundesliga. There was a rumor in the summer that Spurs might buy him as a back up for Harry Kane, but it seems like Wout did a right decision to stay in Wolfsburg.

Andre Silva is the next player in my list: 21 goals and 3 assists. What a season for Portugese player. Some will remember that he was named a next big thing for Portugal few years ago in Porto, but had a rough time in Milan and Sevilla, but it seems like he found his place in Frankfurt. AMAZING season for him with 21 goals, 2nd after Lewa (tied with Haland) and overall very deserved TOTS for him.

Let’s be real. Next 2 players are obvious. Haland and Lewa. Haland scored 21 goals and got 4 assists, amazing player, great TOTS, had POTM, had Headliner card, had everything, carrying BVB attack too, so he’ll get 1000% TOTS.

Lewa. Should I say anything? 35 goals and 8 assists in 25 games. Yes. 25 games. He’s going to break that Muller record, I feel it, it’s going into history books. Should get 99 rated TOTS too, and should be better than TOTY too.

Other than them? No one, honestly. No one striker deserves TOTS from other clubs, maybe apart from Sasa Kalajdzic from Stuttgart. He got 13 goals and 3 assists this season, so he maybe will get some sort of SBC, I think. But that’s all, really. No one else.

So this is a wrap on TOTS Predictions for Bundesliga. Hoping that you enjoyed it, I had a lot of fun creating them and I’m big fan of Bundesliga overall, so let’s hope I’ll get most of the players right.

As per usual – I welcome you all in comments section to discuss players and give your thoughts on this team!
