FIFA 20: Ligue 1 POTM Predictions - January
Ligue 1 POTM for January. We’ll have just 3 candidates.
Another month, where 1 player stood out and there are a lot more candidates.
We finally got a really good Ligue 1 POTM last month with Ben Yedder. He was expensive, but he’s meta and fun. We all like those players, so let’s hope we’ll see someone good next month too
Let’s start this
Neymar is my main candidate this month. Another insane month for Brazilian, he says that he’s in the best form of his life, so I really hope Ligue 1 won’t ignore him this time. He scored 5 goals and got 1 assist in just 3 games. 2 of them were vs Monaco and also a game vs Lille. I mean, these are really hard opponents and Neymar carried PSG in those games. Also he got really high marks on L’equipe: 8,7,8. I really hope he’ll get nominated and wins an award.

Tips for investing:
Well. If Neymar wins – he will be the most expensive SBC in FUT history (not including some Icon SBCs before). I just expect a lot of high rated squads. Fodders should rise and mostly high rated ones.
He just got Headliner card that is really expensive, but I expect it a bit cheaper than usual.
Worth investing? This SBC would really move the market in my opinion. But invest in fodders only if he’ll be nominated. So wait until official announcement.
Estimated cost: 1900-2200k. Around that. Should be around that. More expensive then Messi, I guess, because he’s more favorable in FUT. People love using Neymar and his central card would be insane.
There are few more candidates, but they are not worth investing, as both of those players would be cheap and won’t really make you coins, but let’s name them and explain why I think they’ll be nominated.
Moussa Dembele from Lyon scored 2 goals and got 1 assist, Lyon had a decent month with 2 wins and 1 draw. And yes, he missed a penalty in draw, but overall he was good for Lyon.

Estimated cost: 50k. I think it’s decent price for a decent card
3rd player is Gaetan Laborde. Montpellier had a good month, with 3 wins, so I think someone from that team deserves at least nominee. Gaetan scored 3 goals and assisted once, but anyone from Montpellier can get nominated.
Chances of POTM: 20%
Estimate cost: 20k. Very cheap card, because no one really would be interested in it, as he’d be 84 rated only. Maybe something like Reine-Adelaide, but even that would be overpriced. So as cheap as possible.
Overall I think Neymar at least should be nominated. If not – I don’t even know what he supposed to do to get nominated. If I’ll miss on 3 out of 3 players – that would be my fault. Someone like Kamara from Marseille can get nominated, as Marseille had a decent month too.
