FIFA 20: Bundesliga POTM Predictions - January
Let’s discuss Bundesliga POTM for January.
Another hard month. Last time I was kinda right with Werner prediction. Even tho I was surprised by myself that we got him instead of Borussia Player.
Good thing for POTM Werner owners: There won’t be 3rd POTM Werner in a row. We were close to it, but then Eintracht Frankfurt happened and won vs Leipzig.
But we might get someone even better than Werner. Haland came into Bundesliga like a wrecking ball and performed sensational for BVB. I’ve got 2 candidates from both Bayern and BVB to make it more interesting. Because of only 2 games played this months – 6 nominees are kinda hard to find from different clubs.
Bayern also performed amazingly by scoring 9 goals in 2 games. Should be at least 2 players nominated, maybe we’ll see even 3.
And also Eintracht and Bayer 04 won 2 games this month, so I nominated 1 player per team too.
It’s gonna be hard to choose, but let’s do this.
Let’s start.
Erling Haland
My 1st candidate for POTM. Well. What a crazy debut for him, right? 5 goals in under an hour. All goals came from the bench and he’s hyped. Dunno if he’s certain to win the award, but he’ll be really close.
What a crazy card he’d have. One of the best strikers in FUT, but only 33 WF and Skill Moves, sadly.
Chances of POTM: 40%
Tips for investing:
Pretty similar to POTM Werner. Maybe a bit more expensive, as he’s really hyped player and his 86 card worth a lot, but again: Mostly fodders. Only fodder I think.
Estimated Cost: 350k. As I’ve said: similar to previous Werner SBC. Maybe a bit more.
Robert Lewandowski. Another good month for Lewa, but doubt that he’ll win. He missed so many opportunities to score more vs Schalke, but still managed to get 2 goals and 1 assist. I highly doubt that he’ll win and he might not get even nominated, but it’s Lewa and I can’t resist. I’ll at least include him here.
Chances of POTM: 20%

86 rated squad with couple IFs + 2 Bundesliga players
Another 85 rated squad
Estimated cost: 350-400k. I thought his Headliner would be cheaper but it got a lot of hype. This card would be the same rating as Headliner (for now) and still will get upgraded with Winter Refresh.
Jadon Sancho is my third candidate from Bundesliga. 2 goals, 2 assists. Goal and Assist in each game. Another good month for Sancho. He’s in an amazing for this season and already scored 11 goals and got 10 assists. He’d be my first choice, if we wouldn’t have Haland.
Chances of POTM: 25%
Tips for investing:
Let’s see… English squad, German squad, Bundesliga squad, BVB squad. 4 Squads with 84-86 rating. Shouldn’t be more. Probably even cheaper, honestly.
Worth investing? I kinda nominated him last month too (and he got into voting), but I doubt that he’ll win. He shouldn’t cost a lot of coins and I doubt that you should invest into his potential card.
Estimated cost: 200k or a bit more. His IF worth around 40k. His POTM would be 88. Should it be worth than 100k? Don’t think so. Will he? Probably will.
Kai Havertz is my 4th candidate. 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games, good month, would be another good POTM. But with his opponents – it’s pretty unlikely that he’ll win.
Chances of POTM: 10%
Estimated cost: 200-250k. Doubt that it should be more. We’ve got his FUTMAS under 100k – this card would be just 1 rating higher. So, if he’d win – his card shouldn’t be more than 200k. But it’s a good card.
Alphonso Davies or Thiago from Bayern should get at least nominated. Both had a very good month and both playing on insane level. Filip Kostic is another choice. 2 goals in 2 wins for Frankfurt.
Don’t think any of them will win, sadly, but just to mention them.
My prediction: Sancho or Haland. One of BVB boys will finally get POTM this FIFA in my opinion.
